Reminder:
I am looking for guest columns to run on the blog, particularly for the week of 6/26-7/1. If you are interested, please send your column to me at isawyournanny@aol.com . Columns should be directly related to childcare, nannying or employing a nanny. Your personal experiences would be most appreciated. The columns will be printed along with your name and a link to your blog or any moniker you choose, (should you elect to remain anonymous).

O.k. Mom .... this is calling YOU, loud and clear!!
Please post a cool story for us!!!
I second that! :)
Huh-uh .... you too, Umass! You're funny as all get out. You MUST post a story, too! I know you've got to have something up that sleeve.
I'd like to see one from MPP.
Honestly, I'd like to hear one from Helaine... her "girls" wear scrubs! I'd be interested to know what her take on a nanny is.
Oh, I think we've heard enough from Helaine. Do you really want to hear a story from her spiked with demeaning comments about nannies?
We hear enough bad things about them as it is ....
O.k. everybody, who do YOU want to hear from? Maybe we can get this person to write something for us? I'm really looking forward to seeing the other side of some of these posters. We have soooo many good ones!!!!
And it's unfortunate that some of these posters are anonymous ....
:(
I would like Miserly Bastard to write an article about his favorite hawt B-list celeb, and to attach a hot, steamy fan fic story regarding the celeb.
Oh wait, that's not about childcare.
Forget it then.
I agree that mom should write something. Her comments are always really interesting. Sounds like she's had a lot of life experiences.
Hmmm...I just looked on this for the first time. How about we EACH write one?
But I am going on a trip so may not be able to do mine for a week or so...unless I get myself together early!
Jane, what kinds of things are you specifically looking for? Lord knows, I always seem to have some sort of story up my sleeve! hehee...and I generally think of myself as having a pretty conservative, ho hum life...but I guess I have "seen" a lot more in my ever increasing years than I really realized.
Mom,
I love your stories about your kids because they are so real and they restore my faith in parenting today.
I still think about the story you told about reading the LIW books to your boys and the food parts getting them hungry and being too ill to make them anything but sandwiches! It reminded me of something my late mother would have said! Basically, your stories make me remember my own mom, so they are bittersweet to me.
I would love to read anything you write, about your family or about children in general.
Same here, Mom.
I really enjoy your stories too, so I guess you'll just have to get it together early, as you say.
Your fans await you! ☺
Awww. thank you Umass and MPP! You know what, my stories make me a little sad sometimes too because those were such sweet times when their kids were little...and they went so fast! My husband used to say I looked like a mama duck because they all sort of "waddled" around behind me everywhere I went. Now they're often like, "Do we HAVE to go with you?"
I'll check out my saved items. I might have one of my funny "life with kiddos" stories saved up that I can shoot your way.
But for now I better get off of here and get my "real" stuff done so my kids have actual clean underwear to wear on their trips.
