$6k for a nanny- The Beckhams...

Anonymous said...

JD, is that for the head nanny? Because they have more than one nanny. They have atleast 4.

Anonymous said...

The article says 6000 Pounds, not Dollars.

Anonymous said...

Thanks Jane...it's working now. I should have known anyway. I am so sick of them I had to close the link before my dinner came up!

Anonymous said...

That wasn't the original link The original link did say $6,000. Most of the stories do say $6,000. They are in the United States paying American money...Wouldn't 6,000 lbs be 12,224.3 USD anyway?

Anonymous said...

six thousand pounds would be around twelve thousand dollars

anonymous at 805,
didnt you see 700 comment?
"Wouldn't 6,000 lbs be 12,224.3 USD anyway?"

Ever work for a high-profile family like the Beckham's? Ever work under a non-disclosure contract? Ever deal with the press and the constant invasion of privacy and the worries about the security and safety of your charges? Ever have a stalker who is obsessed with you just because you work for a celebrity?
If you have, you know that a 6,000 pound weekly salary is perfectly reasonable.

oh, please. the 12,000 is purely, "please don't shag my dh" blood money. They have 5 nannies. I wouldn't work for her, she seems like a real bitch. But yes I have worked with a non disclosure agreement (which I signed for extra $$$$) and working for celebrities worked out well for me. My current husband is in the business and I met him through the second and only family I ever worked for. I can't imagine that many nannies have it easy. If you are good, you might as well make the most and get as many perks as you can. And it isn't 6,000 pds. It is 6,000 US Dollars.

2:33 just so you know--I know Mrs. Beckham and you clearly do not and I don't appreciate you calling her a "bitch". In fact she's a lovely person.
Hard for me to believe you ever worked for anyone in the industry. You sound unprofessional and crass. You're an English lass aren't you? Well, from one to another--God Save the Queen.

Anonymous said...

Indeed you must know her quite well, to be on a first name basis and all

It seems clear that 3:15 refers to her friend (or possibly her employer) as "Mrs. Beckham" out of respect.
2:33 and 7:56 what is your problem?
Have a little class or do us all a favor and just please SHUT UP.

Anonymous said...

Anyone who has any class and knows a celebrity who is used to being gossiped about, does not jump in and claim to know the person. It's presumptious, pretentious and reeks of name dropping blasphemy.

344, are you that gullible?

9:03 You'd be surprised how many people employed by celebrities read this blog.
You'd be even more surprised how many CELEBRITIES read this blog!
You just never know, so let's mind our manners shall we?

Anonymous said...

so 344 do you call your friends Mrs. So and So? Get real.

Anonymous said...

Excuse me but what was the topic again?
