Larkey Park in Walnut Creek, CA

Where: Larkey Park in Walnut Creek, CA
When:  Saturday 6/6/2015
Description of Nanny: Nanny was korean, thin, about 5'5", medium length dark, straight hair, very pale. wearing almost to the knee denim shorts and a white tank top with  butterflies. Nanny has one lazy eye.
Description of Child: Boy, white, brown hair, blue eyes, wearing green croc shoes and whitish denim shorts.
Incident: Nanny was on her phone most of the time. Nanny was not paying attention to her charge. Her charge peed in the sand area, a full pee. Even when a mom yelled, "hey stop him", she didn't move quickly, but let him finish. Finish to the point that before she picked him up, she told him to shake it off. Then she used her foot to bury the peed upon sand. Two other moms were looking at her like "what the hell" and her face was like "duh". Maybe she isn't too bright?

Sunday

Should I stay or should I go?

Hi! I've been a nanny in Los Angeles, California for this family for a year and a half. I have been paid $14/hr. The parents are very nice people and I can't put into words how much I love the little girl. The thing is, they are having a new baby and she told me that the normal increase in the salary is $2/hr. The baby will be using cloth diaper witch I will have to wash before putting on machine, also I do the household laundry, clean the kitchen in the morning (with ALL) the dishes from dinner. I drive the girl to the park, classes, play dates and others activities in the area almost every day. I work 45 hours weekly, 40 of this are in pay roll and the other 5 cash since the girl takes nap. Now with the new baby it will be a little bit more difficult manage all this but I know I can, but I had have others job with just one kid and they used to pay $15 / hour not doing more than taking care the kids; but my current family says that they just want to pay $16 with a toddler and a new born. Should I stay????

Wednesday

Peter Green Park in Huntington Beach, CA

Tuesday 3:00/3:30
Nanny: older, sixties, wearing grey skirt, white tennis shoes, green sweater, grey hair
Child: Max, age approx 3. Short light brown hair, wearing sweatpants suit with yellow dump truck on black hoodie.
Location: Peter Green Park
Situation: This nanny is too old to be in charge of Max. Maybe she was Max's baby nurse. I am sure she was great with him, but she cannot keep up with this kid. He found himself in dangerous situations, he takes risks and she cannot move quick enough. He ran from her atleast five times, no doubt sensing her weakness. He got into the parking lot three times and once made it to a patch of grass between the parking lot and SeaGate Drive before a guy parking his car stopped him from going into the street. You're going to need to decide if this nanny is going to work for your family, but she cannot, and I repeat, cannot take your child to parks like this one where he cannot be contained. And just to be clear, she was the nanny and she really tried.

San Diego Park - CA

BADNANNYSIGHTING
I saw this nanny yesterday at a San Diego park, and couldn't believe what I saw and heard. She was the nanny to two school age children, an older boy named Gabriel and a younger girl named Ari (I think it was short for Arianna). The kids were playing on the playground, and the nanny spent the entire time either texting on her phone or yelling at the children. There was one point when the boy had just gone down the slide, and the little girl came down behind him and kicked him in the back, pretty hard and on purpose. The nanny did not witness the encounter as I had, so when the boy tried to explain what happened and why he was crying, the nanny told him to stop bullying his sister and to grow up and be a man. I tried to help the little boy by explaining to the woman what happened and she said to mind my own business and that the boy is just trying to cause trouble. The boy got really upset and walked to the edge of the park to sulk, and the nanny continued yelling at him. She said over and over that his dad would be disgusted by his behavior and that he needed to act like a man.

It appeared that later the nanny had gotten a phone call from the dad saying he got home early and asking them to come back home. She started gathering up the two children in her care, and they were giving her some resistance. She finally left, leaving the two kids behind, and started walking away. She got to the farthest edge of the park, turned around and yelled threats at them and they finally came. As they were walking away (still in eye shot and ear shot) the little girl was dilly dallying as the nanny called it so the nanny grabbed her by the arm and dragged her pretty forcefully the rest of the way (or until I couldn't see her). I'm not 100% sure if this was the nanny, it possibly could have been the grandmother, but I still think the parents deserve to know what this caregiver is doing to their children. Where is the love, the care, or the compassion?
