I have a problem {that} no one can help me. I am here with {a} one year contract. I have been here since February. I live in at the family house in a very small room in the basement. My contract says I can not take picture{s} of the child. I can understand that. On Tuesday morning the baby had a red mark on his cheek. It was not big. I did not think anything of it. When {the} mommy came home she reacted to the red mark on the baby{'s} face. I told her it was there in the morning. She did not believe me. The baby is still sleep sometime when I start. This morning I get the baby out of her crib and she has a red blott {blotch?} on her wrist. I don't think the baby has been hurt. I am just very afraid that if the mark is still there {the} mommy will make problem for me. How can I protect myself in the situation?

First, contact a lawyer before you take my advice. When abuse is suspected, either by someone else or yourself, pictures are evidence and trump a contract. Contracts exclude suspicion of criminal activity. When you take the picture, make sure the device has a time/date stamp and place your phone with the date/time next to the baby before taking the picture. Avoid digital pics, get a disposable camera. Do not develop...date mark it and store it in case you need it for a lawyer in the future.

What if you tell the mother as soon as you notice a mark? That might help eliminate any suspicion. Do these marks go away over the day or do they stay? Are they red or turning to a bruise?
I would take pics of marks. I had a family I worked that told me no pics. I kept seeing marks, bumps, etc that parents could not explain. I found out (while E was upstairs with parent) that it was their dad- that was abusing. Also the 3year old told me with own words that daddy hit me when I questioned child about a huge bruise on his backside. (My daddy hurt me-was the most awful thing to hear). I took pics and reported it.
I kniw this type of employer. She pribabky knows its nothing...just wants you to cower in your boits. When she fires you suddenly she wi tell everyone the baby always gad strange marks. Take pics..time stamped and save for proof. Just in case. Employers use/abuse and screw nannies.
They go away after one day only. I do not want any trouble.
Sounds like an allergy or pressure mark. Suggest to the parents to use DREFT for their babies laundry and use hydrogen peroxide in the rinse cycle. I stand by my comment (1st one). You need to protect yourself! If the parents are asses, they could get you arrested. This isnt something to "wait out and hope for the best". This is your future.
Exactly this is some kind of allergy/reaction.
