9 - What does going out have to do with my ability to care for children? I would understand if there were tons of drunk pictures, but any is unacceptable? I have pictures on my facebook of me at the one and only club I've ever been to. How does that make me unfit to care for children? What does everyone else feel about this?

ANWC, I agree with you on this one. As long as you don't turn up for work hungover and give 100% when you're on the job, what you do on your own time is not your employer's business.

Anyone who immediately asks for my facebook profile page gets marked off my prospective employer list. I've seen this being asked on some ads. While I understand the sentiment, that is like asking to come browse through and inspect your house before hiring you.

Now, I have several former parent-boss' on my 'friends' list on FB, and have no issue with that at all. But to have it required as part of my resume? No.

I don't think it is right either to ask this, however I have read that many prospective bosses do this and use this to determine whether to hire you or not for a job. Just do what I do. I have one Facebook page where I slightly alter my name and use it for my close friends, family and old school mates, etc. And I have another that I let my prospective families use to view me. I put pics of me with my family, pets, etc..and I try to make it look as wholesome as can be. I use my business email for this one as well.
