55 - 60
-Do you have an overtime rate?

Not a yearly raise, but both parents are surgical fellows and when they become surgeons and get a raise, so do I!

Haven´t needed one yet but I´m positive if I asked they´d work it out.

2 weeks, one chosen by them and one chosen by me
-What kind of holiday bonus do you get?
Around $200 with a few very personal and well thought out gifts.
-How long have you been in this position/had this nanny?
Almost 1 year.
-Anything else?
An aquarium and zoo pass for the year and having the best family to work for!

-Are you paid your normally salary while the family goes away on vacation?
They haven't gone on vacation yet but the mom has invited me along if they do.

Sick days = No pay

No pay if I need them
-Do you get vacation days? How many?

-What kind of holiday bonus do you get?
$100

-How long have you been in this position/had this nanny? With one family it has been about a year; and with the other family it has been about 10 months.
-Anything else? (Memberships to gym, theme parks, etc.)
I am able to take the kids to any day outings or out to eat if I want. The parents pay for everything. Coming from my first job where I couldn't leave all day being able to leave is like a dream come true. I was naive with the first job but now I would never go back. I work two part time jobs so I dont have as many of the extra benefits as nannies working full time. (Vacation days, health care, etc) But I feel very lucky for the job that I do have.

I make 400 dollars a week. I am a Preschool teacher.

I need childcare for 6 hours a day, four days a week.

I pay my nanny 200 dollars a week. She get the same flat rate regardless of how much she calls in sick, holidays, etc.

For holiday bonuses I give a week's pay, which I take from my savings.

It is not much, but it is half my pay. I wish I could pay her more, but I am a single mom who just can't afford any more money. :(

She is priceless. We are very lucky.
