Vancouver couple arrested for trying to sell baby on Craigslist
A Vancouver couple were arrested by police after posting an Internet ad on Craiglist, offering their seven-day-old baby for $10,000, police said Tuesday.

Couple Accused Of Keeping Frozen Baby Have Case Reset
A couple accused of keeping a baby in a motel freezer for a year were supposed to appear in court Tuesday but had their case rescheduled, KPRC Local 2 reported. Crystal Sosa, 25, and Dezmond Dewayne Blake, 28, were arrested after police found the baby's body in a zipped-up duffel bag inside the freezer in a room at the InTown Suites, 3000 state South Highway 6, on Friday. They were charged with tampering with evidence.

Spanish Village Holds Baby Jump
baby jump
Grown men have been leaping over rows of babies in the north Spanish village of Castrillo de Murcia in an annual rite meant to ward off the Devil. Jumpers dressed as the Colacho, a character representing the Devil, bounded over clusters of bemused infants laid out on mattresses.

Maybe that Craigslist baby would be better off with a desperate family that wanted to pay $10,000 for a child rather than its drug addict parents. And that picture of jumping over the babies just made my day. I certainly hope none get hurt but I have never seen such a thing!!! I wonder if it is good luck there to volunteer your baby?

The Colacho looks a little bit short!
They say no babies were harmed 'this' year, but I can't help but wonder how many may have been injured since this custom began?

I can't imagine a mother letting grown men jump over their infant!
Wow, some sad stories. And the couple that had their sons body in the freeze for a year, disgusting! Really, wouldn't a person go mentally insane, knowing their child was in the freezer.

I had to keep my ferret frozen in my freezer over the weekend until I could get him buried.

Don't they also run with bulls in Spain?

Too much sangria, perhaps?

was your ferret's death by natural causes or did it commit suicide?

Awww, that's mean, lol.
Poor frozen ferret.

That picture is insane. It really makes me wonder who's running the asylum. I thought I had seen it all a couple of weeks ago when the news showed footage from India, where parents threw their babies off the roof of a building onto a mattress! Also for "good luck" and also ensuring that "no babies were harmed". Absolutely insane.

The sad part of the Vancouver couple trying to sell their baby is that if they had just gone to an adoption agency or answered an ad that countless couples place, they would have gotten their money and the baby would have gone to a good home, with parents who'd adore him/her. So very sad.

Birthparents do not get money for the adoption of a baby. That is babyselling and is illegal in every state. They may get some assistance with medical bills pertaining to the pregnancy and living expenses while pregnant but not cash for baby.
