Wonderful Nanny Sighting at Appleseeds in NYC

Received Monday, November 12, 2007
Wonderful Nanny Sighting at Appleseeds in NYCI have never posted before because I am disturbed by some of the flaming comments i have seen, but I need to tell some lucky mom what a gem of a nanny she has hired.I have met your nanny at both Madison Square Park and at Appleseeds Indoor Playground. Both times I have been blown away by her incredibly warm way of working with your children. She manages your twins, Josephine and Juliette with such love I would believe they were her own. We have chatted and she is such a lovely person. I am a SAHM and spend a lot of time with my kid on the playgrounds so I have seen good nannies and not so good nannies.Congratulations, I think you may have the best one I have ever met.

Wow! That is so refreshing to see genuine compliments about nannies on this site. I like to think I am that kind of nanny and it's nice to know people are noticing the good ones!

Sometimes I start to wonder if people forget this site is called "i saw your nanny" not "i saw your nanny do something bad" so it's nice to see someone take the time to let a mother know that her nanny is doing a good job.

I bet there's a lot of mothers out there who would love to have their minds put to rest over whether their nanny is "good" or not by seeing a posting like this. Rather than having to check up on this site every night to see if their nanny has done something wrong.

Kudo's to you Mel :)

hey! the person who posted as nynanny was not the original! i have been with my dear charges all day seeing as how they had no school and just got on the computer! her opinions are not necessarily those of nynanny that has been around this site for a while! fake nynanny how dare you!

I'm sure there are many nannies in NY who would pick the name nynanny, its not exactly a original and extremely creative sn. If she never saw your posts before, she wouldn't know there already was one.
Calm yourself "original".

And good post! I like seeing good ones on here. Seems like even with good ones though, people have to bring some drama. I hope the parents of the twins see this and know they have a good nanny.

oh my gosh. i am the person who posted as nynanny and can i just say ummm overreaction :S

i had no idea anyone else posted under that name and as someone else stated yes it is a very nondescript handle. i only put it in so that people would know that the opinion i was posting was comming from a nanny in nyc.

gosh. sorry i've picked something new!

sorry pancake! after rereading my post i realized how crazy i sounded! i was just worried that someone was trying to impersonate me and their opinions, good or bad, would be seen as mine. i am not in nyc, so what about nycnanny for your screen name? sorry again! :)

I bet a father or two might like to know how their nanny was treating their child(ren). It's not just mom's who worry about their kids while they are at work. I am a SAHM, but my husband is much more protective than I, and if we had a nanny, would be much more in need of reassurance that the nanny was a loving, caring soul.

Yay, for the first happy post in a LONG time! I've actually been wondering the last few days if we'd ever see another positive sighting again...talk about a drought. lol Thank you for the "rain" OP, I truly hope the parents see this post!

More good posts are needed. As a working parent, nothing makes me feel better than when someone complements how good my nanny is with my kids.

If you do a web search for I saw Your nanny it comes up with the following "I Saw Your Nanny-Report Bad Nannies"

Maybe thats why there is so much negativity here?

8:22...what website did you think you were on?

I saw your nanny-report bad nannies. Yes that is correct. That is what the blog was set up for.

Let me clue you in on something-
If you go to Post Secret, you are going to postcards.

Wait, there's more.

And you won't find recipes.
They're secrets.

So still yourself.

It seems to also be regularly frequented by illiterate, unemployable, bitter nanny-wannabes.
