Hi readers. We had some friends over for a rare dinner on Saturday night. We opened the liquor cabinet and set out our liquor bottles. We're not drinkers, but rather keep liquor for just this occasion. Just the basics, gin, scotch, vodka, etc.I was embarrassed to hear at the end of the night when one of my friends took me aside and said something was awry with both the whiskey and the vodka. She had tried to make a whiskey sour herself and adding more whiskey just watered it down more. To cut to the chase, after our guest left, we checked the liquor bottles and they all tasted like water. The vodka tasted like pure water.
The last time we entertained was pre Christmas. The residents of our house are a 13 year old, 11 year old, 4 year old and a live-in nanny. I went to the the 13 year old who told me with conviction that it wasn't her. I went to the eleven year old who looked confused. I went to the nanny and told her and asked her if she had noticed anything unusual. She too, looked confused. So it's Monday afternoon and I'm at work and I have no idea what happened to all of the alcohol. I think I need to know. How do I get to the bottom of this?
