Maybe you are in the wrong profession lol. Although, I can't see why anyone would be fired for being too attractive. And, it's obviously wrong to fire someone because they are. Unless, they dressed or acted really inappropriately. If being too attractive was an issue from the start, I really don't know why they would have hired you in the first place. Doesn't really make sense.

I believe if a nanny is too good looking, it can impede on her chances of finding work.

Wives...Women in general are usually not too comfortable w/their husband dealing w/a young + attractive nanny.

It's funny that people could be so vain. Maybe, you're a bitch or a shitty nanny? I mean, come on. If you were a super nanny who happens looked like Elle McPherson, I think they would keep you around.

I've heard talk among moms that they would never hire a nanny they found attractive. So that type of discrimination does occur.

I can't say this is what's happening to the OP. Why would they hire her at all? I'm more inclined to believe it's something else since this has happened more than once.

I do not buy the I'm too pretty everyone is against me excuses.

I think it is pathetic that a woman would feel threatened by another woman's looks. Especially if the former is married and the latter is an employee. Anyone who hires based on looks and not qualifications is likely going to be a terrible boss anyway.

There is a difference between attractive and sexual, and many people - especially young women - get the two confused.

Perhaps after you are hired you sometimes dress or behave in a way that could be perceived as a little more overtly sexual and it makes one or more parents uncomfortable?

You may not be doing this purposely, or even view your choices as too sexual, but we often view ourselves differently than others view us. We can also be completely unaware of how others view us, especially if we were not schooled in certain social cues.

You have noticed that there seems to be a problem in this area, and you have noticed that the common denominator is you. It might be worth your while to examine your dress and behavior and make some adjustments so that you are more consistently perceived in a professional way.

I agree with Just Sayin'. I'm no model or anything, but I get comments from my bosses and their friends (jokingly) about being a "hot nanny". I'm young and athletic, and relatively attractive. But I don't come across as "sexy". I've worked for housewives, high powered executive women, and various levels in between, and I've never encountered a problem because of how I look.

You "hide your attractivness" but eventelually "it reveals itself"
The only way I can interpret this is that you dress conservatively in the beginning, and then start dressing like a slut, and get fired. Is this a joke?
