Your nanny, a large woman approx. 35-40 years of age, named Gina or Jean or Jenna. Long black hair in a ponytail. I am not sure which child in the small crowd that was assembled at her feet was yours, but she was fantastic! She was reading "If you give a mouse a cookie" aloud using different voices and hand gestures. One of the moms told me she was not an employee of the library just a patron who happened to pick up the book. She is wonderful and I hope you appreciate her, let me tell you if you don't, there were about a half dozen women there that would be willing to take her off your hands!

This just brought back a fond memory I have.
This little boy was a handful, oh man was he a handful. It got to the point that he had to hold my hand or my pocket at all times because he couldn't behave around the other kids. He was 2 and his mom had breast cancer so things were tough for him at home so we did the best we could at the daycare for him.
During story time of course he would sit right next to me and he LOVED the book Where the wild things are. We read it almost daily because it was his favorite book. In the story where the forest grew...and grew he would always repeat after me. I would say "The forest grew" and then he would say "Forest grew" in that cute 2 yr old voice. Then I would turn the page and say "and grew" and then pause for him to repeat it. This went on for a year and when he finally moved up to the 3yr old room I would still pause out of habit for him to say 'and grew'...in fact now 4 yrs later if I read that book sometimes I will still pause and wait for him to say it before I realize what I did. :)
