Child crushed by T.V. Dies
West Haven, Conn.- A two-year-old girl who pulled a large television set onto herself, becoming trapped last month, has died from her injuries.
Janiya Powe-Santiago of West Haven had been in grave condition since the July 25 accident at a family friend's house, where she and her mother were staying overnight.
The friend, Crystal Webber, confirmed for the New Haven Register in Sunday's edition that the little girl died Friday afternoon.
During the early morning hours of July 25, a loud boom could be heard when Janiya apparently pulled the TV down from a small table. She was found trapped underneath it.
