My MIL saw a blond little boy (about 2.5 yrs old) outside of Carl Schurz Park on the UES looking for his nanny "Francine." My MIL brought the boy back in the playground, found his nanny, whose back was turned and had no clue that her charge had disappeared. Then she yelled at him. Then my MIL yelled at her FOR NOT NOTICING THAT HE DISAPPEARED! Good for my MIL! Bad, bad nanny.

My MIL saw a blond little boy (about 2.5 yrs old) outside of Carl Schurz Park on the UES looking for his nanny "Francine." Wow, a lot of crappy nannies at this Carl Shurz Park...I wonder how many sightings have taken place there over the course of this blog's existence.
OP: Please tell your MIL she is an awesome woman for what she did. Nanny ignores child. Nanny had no clue child is gone. OP's MIL made nanny look like an idiot. Nanny is awful for ignoring this child. I always wanted to know what a nanny would say in a situation if a child disappeared, due to her lack of common sense. This child was lucky. Unfortunately, he may not be lucky next time-I hope the parents see this and fire this nanny, because she deserves it!

Probaly not. But it might save a child's life one day.
