Around 12 noon today, (1/17)Too many red bulls? Your nanny finished one red bull, popped a top on the other and proceeded to lose her patience or rather continued to lose her patience with your little girl all dressed in pink. One twin or close in age child was outside of the double stroller and one was inside by herself. The nanny handled her very harshly, buckled her in with a meanness and just was very tough with every movement. The nanny was bent over this stroller and totally ignoring the other child who was standing with her finger in her mouth looking at her little sister with such sympathy. If she could have spoken or would have spoken, she would have said, 'stop being so mean to my sister'. If this is your nanny she has short dark hair, an ear pieced high on the ear as in an old style ear clip, a pointy nose that looked like a ski slope and she had some sort of accent that I was not familiar with. The way the nanny handled this child in public was rough. I wonder if her touch was softer when she got her home, out of the limelight? Stroller was a twin blue and black side by side jog stroller. The nanny was white, dressed athletically in stretch black pants, a zip up red sweatshirt with writing on each side of the zipper and a black head band. The girl in the stroller dressed in pink had fur trim around her hood. The little girl standing was wearing brown tall boots with pink flowers on them. Oh and by the by, it's freezing outside. Not the best time to take two small children out so you can get your exercise on. Stay inside, build a castle, read a book!

From what I've read, the infamous Mother Britney is a fan of Red Bull, that is, when she isn't imbibing, swallowing or sniffing one of her other "faves".
OP are you serious, it was 35-40 today, and I was in the playground. Kids bundle up to play in snow and ice skate when it is below freezing for Pete sake!
This op is nuts. What is she talking about? Find something better to do with your time.
I have to wonder what OP was doing at a playground, because it's obvious she has never taken care of kids. She doesn't like the way the nanny buckled the seatbelt and is appalled that the nanny actually had her eyes on the seatbelt as she buckled it and not the other child? And thinks children should be kept indoors from October to April or whenever the temp drops below 40?

Pipe down, California.
It was twenty something today.
...because red bull causes people to go into fits of rage and buckle kids into stroller's in a 'fierce like' way?
I must say, I had to laugh when you wrote that the other little girl MUST have been thinking "stop being mean to my sister"
You must be pretty impressed with yourself, the ability to read the mind of a toddler.
I was a nanny for two years and I always took my little guy out to play in the snow.
Would I if the wind was blowing and it was a full blown storm? Of course not. But! If it was calm weather and just cold.. I bundled the bug up and we would play outside for a good hour or so before having to drag him back inside (screaming and crying, no less..) Cold weather won't kill a kid.
Maybe you were just having a lousy day and seeing something like that just sent you over.
Who knows if the Red Bull set the idiot nanny off? It isn't all that hard when observing someone to determine via body language and actions if that person is angry or irritated. Reading the toddler's mind was more likely the OP observing the expression on the other child's face and seeing something very telling there. I wouldn't want this woman around my kids, but maybe you would.
Wow, when my husbnad was shipped out from Algiers La to Mpls Mn and I had NO car,I had to take my child in a stroller in 20 below zero if I went to the store. Granted it was a 5 minute walk but it sure didn't hurt her a bit. Fresh air is good for kids but I will say that Redbull can make people jittery, I don't touch the stuff for that reason.
I'm a Diet Pepsi kinda girl myself, and if I need a shot of caffeine, a good cup of hot coffee will do. I don't know how some people can drink 'Red Bull' ... Anyway, maybe she was having a bad day. There is nothing wrong with how OP related what she saw. You can determine somebodys demeaner just by watching their body language. And if this Nanny was being too rough, I believe the OP.
The only problem I see is that as long as the kids were bundled up ... the fresh air will do them some good, so I didn't understand the concern about the weather.
I knew someone who drank Diet Coke like water. She would open a can, finish 3/4 of it, and open another can! I used to like Diet Coke when I worked with her, and stopped drinking it because of her. Everyone is different when it comes to a caffeine fix-coffee, Dew, or whatever, yet too much caffeine gives you a headache and yes, it does things to a personality, such as make people crabby. Since she had Red Bull, how do we know she didn't have Jagermeister mixed in it? (Jager bomb)
I live in WI, and it was COLD here yesterday. I do agree with the above posters about being outside. Infants I wouldn't take out in this weather, yet I would take toddlers out. Being outside helps children sleep better, and fresh air is wonderful! I once observed a teacher wanting to watch a movie with her 2 year old class when it was 60* degrees and sunny outside!
Perhaps this nanny should be drug tested....
When I was younger, I had a good friend that I used to have 'sleep overs' with. In the middle of the night (in 20 degree weather!) her mom would always come in and open the windows a couple of inches to let the "fresh air" in - I swear we would wake up with icicles on our noses!
Can anyone tell me how the OP knows this was a nanny sighting?? Is it simply by virtue of the fact that she had an earing...or perhaps it was the slanted looooong nose?
Please OP...this post was really out to lunch. Now we have people who can tell just by looking at someone..adult or child...what is going on in their minds.
And working moms....how is it that your employer pays you a salary to read message boards? Wish I could have had a job like that...unfortunately I was expected to give 8 hours of "real" time.
Go. Away.
I posted this and I recognized this person to be a nanny. She was cauacasian, like the child but she had an accent-I want to say Hungarian, but I don't know. The woman clearly had no connection to the children. If you were there, you would have seen what I saw-a nanny treating two children like garbage.
It's terrible, but now such happens everywhere
