Rough looking nanny, 30-38 y.o., AA, wearing a kango and a black leather jacket. She told your shivering daughter to stop shivering because she was on her last nerves. Your daughter was making a chattering teeth sound. I interjected, "oh you know those little bodies really feel this cold". The nanny shot back, "She's from Canada, she can handle the cold without carrying on". The nanny seemed very cruel and cold. Strange choice for a "care" giver. Location-in NYC, on the way out of the H&M on Lexington and 59th. The child was a little girl wearing a grey fleece skirt, patterned tights and a pink fleece jacket. The nanny was laden down with shopping bags from H&M and seemed to regard the child as a nuisance. Child was dragged off by forearm down 59th...

Oooooooo.....I hope that nanny gets fired.......My Christmas wish is for the parent to kick her out on her rough rear end!!!!!! (I'd LOVE for a parent of a bad nanny sighting to post on here that they fired their nanny....that's my 2nd Christmas wish!) I'm praying.
How old was the child? Did I miss that?
You had me at 'kango'.
Well, you know how difficult it can be to do power shopping with a small child in tow. Nanny was probably just disgusted with having to drag the child along on all of her personal errands during the time she was being paid to CARE FOR HER.
Wow, this kid sure is on her way to a Merry Christmas.
Poor little girl.
I'm glad you said something, OP. Although for this Nanny, it probably made no difference. She was mean, plain and simple.
I think I know where I'd like to put those H&M bags so that she's not struggling to carry them anymore.
poor child is probably small and skinny where the nanny had layers of fat to keep her warm. Good thing you stood up for the girl.

Now where did that comment come from - besides out of left field?
Because all fat nannies are horrible nannies...didn't you know that??????
(sarcasm)
That's kind of random...Did the OP even say the nanny was fat? She said "rough-looking" but I'm not sure what that means exactly.
by the way, soft squishy nannies are the best, it's not easy to cuddle with skin and bones. ;)
I am from Canada, and I am so tired of people saying that I should be used to being cold! Poor little girl.
