Storytime at the Downtown/Uptown Cafe in NYC

Received Wednesday, April 18, 2007
I saw your nanny. If your child is a 2yr old girl named Darby, your nanny was sleeping at story time at DTUT Cafe on 2nd. Ave and 84th. today. Your nanny slept through the entire hour, while the little girl kept sliding off of her lap, playing with and biting her cell phone. The little girl hit her head on the table in front of her a few time. The nanny only woke up twice and said, "you have to stay 'wit' me" (not with me). I really wish the mother knew what type of person is taking care of her child.

Darby's nanny should be easy to find. If so, I think Darby's parents should pay a visit to the people who run the storytime.

The nanny sleeps through the entire hour and no one says anything to her? What is WRONG with you people?

Nannies are a scary sort. Some are large, almost bullish in their appearance. Others are closer to petite but fly into an angry tirade at the drop of a hat. One must use all the care that one would use with one of America's Most Wanted when approaching the dissident nanny.

1128 you are hilarious! Bullish appearance...HAAAA so right! Shame on the other parents and the writer of this siting for not saying anything! I say you are as much to blame since you could have done something by simply addressing her!

11:28 funny
How about demanding the nanny wears an alarm watch and set it to go off hourly!! Heh!

I wouldn't have a problem "disturbing" a sleeping nanny. How about just saying, "your snoring is bothersome" if afraid to be more direct as in "wake up and take care of your kid"?

Wow! Um, how about gently, politely waking the nanny up the way you would want a friend or family member to be treated? A nanny is a lady, not an ogre.
