from Boston

I don't know if you will print this or not but it has been bugging me. I have a "frenemy" that works as a nanny for a family in the Boston area. The mother spends a lot of time with the nanny and treats her fairly decent, brings her coffee, etcetera. For the past 4 months, the mother has been traveling to NYC, occasionally even requiring overnights. This "frenemy" has increasingly been bragging about the flirtatious nature of her male employer. When I saw her last weekend, she was wearing a very pretty white diamond "pave" heart pendant on a blue rope cord that she said her male boss gave to her for Valentine's Day. But the female boss doesn't know that he did this. She claims she hasn't done anything inappropriate with this male employer but she is tickled by the attention and it makes me sick. And before you suggest that I am trying to stir up trouble, I am sure a smart woman will be able to verify the jewelry purchases her husband made last month.

If what you say is accurate, this woman should never have accepted that gift. And she never should have accepted any flirting from the husband. She should have put him in his place from the first. The fact that your "frenemy" likes the attention says a lot about her insecurity. A confident woman with boundaries would not get enmeshed in family problems like this, especially at her WORK.
Why is she even partly your friend? If it's for the juicy stories she provides, well I can understand that. lol.

Ha. I love it!

Ooooh....I wonder whatz going on with the nanny/father/husband?

I'm curious about your reason for posting this. If the nanny hasn't done anything inappropriate, what do you hope to see happen. Chances are this is not the first time the man has flirted with other women, and his wife tolerates it. MYOB

OP is clearly jealous.
But if I were this woman, I wouldn't give a rat's ass who brought me the information- as long as it was legit.

Thanks for posting this. I would want to know so I could drag my husband to counseling and give the nanny a serious talking to about roles.

What "ROLES"?
Would you just be peeved if it was the nanny banging your husband?
You would be more okay with knowing he is cyber stalking the class hot mom by keeping her on his AOL buddy list and trying to run in to her at a popular establishment?
WTF?
If he bones the nanny, he might still come back to you. If he leaves you for another "real woman", you're f'd!

1:09, Why would you be so angry at me? I'm just saying I would want to know. As far as the nanny and "roles", I would be very uncomfortable having a woman care for my children if there was an indication she was not being open and honest in our relationship. It seems to me, from the description given, that the nanny was deceiving the mother.

I am not angry with you.
I don't get your point though.
I would be more affected if the person my husband was "interested" in was a friend, or class mother.
A nanny can be fired.
Sent away.
Terminated.
Canned.

Hmm. I guess I was thinking I wouldn't automatically fire her because the real problem is the husband. But, I guess it depends on the circumstances. I'm not saying there aren't worse people to flirt with.

109, you seem to be referring about a specific incident in your own life. Do dicuss. Who is this hot Mom? Did he leave you for her?
How might I cyber stalk someone using my aol buddy list?

I hope the mom finds out, fires the nanny and ditches the husband.

its a shame that these things happen so often or at least are the most portrayed in movies, tv, etc "hot nanny messing with dad" and this and that. when i am working with children i always feel some type of weird tension around the fathers just for this reason. I hope this mother finds out and ditches both of them! i'm sure the children know a thing or two already and that is the worst possible scenario.
