We are beginning our search for a live in caregiver for this summer when the kids are out of school. We will provide room and board and a small stipend for your time. There will be times when we will ask for you to be available on a Saturday or Sunday day and occassionally a weekend evening. You will be responsible for feeding the kids breakfast, lunch and snacks, taking them to the pool (daily), using good decision making on when they can play outside, having a reliable car so that you can take them places, which we would pay for. You will need to pay for the insurance on your car but we will pay for the entertainment and give money for gas for the excursion. In addition to the children you will be expected to assume responsibility for our 3 dogs during the day, although they require little as they have a dog door. You must be prepared to understand that my dogs mean as much to me as my human children and understand that going into the job. You will be responsible for light housekeeping, the children's laundry and possibly some light shopping. You will need to be aware our son is severly ADHD and he does take medication, he is also asthmatic and does occasionally have to take medication for that.

What will not be tolerated: Absolutely no smoking on the premises by anyone and you must be a non-smoker to be hired, no alcoholic beverages will be consumed by you or your guests on the property and no drugs of anytype will be tollerated. You will not have overnight guests of either sex and visitors are not permitted when you are caring for the children. Visitors on your off time will be expected to spend time in your room and must be gone by 10pm and no more than 4 hour incriments, family food is not purchased for the entertainment of your friends. Food, other than snacks such as chips or popcorn, will not be allowed in bedrooms and glasses or cups are not to be left for more than overnight. Staying up late is a personal decision and is not an excuse for sleeping in or taking a nap during the day. The children do not nap, neither will you. Should you need a sick day you will be provided with 2 for the entire summer without being docked pay, time beyond those two days will be docked.

You must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.

During the summer if a family vacation is taken you will be expected to take care of the home and dogs. Should we decide to vacation without the children you will expect you to take full responsibility of the home, children and dogs and any vacation longer than 4 days we will increase your pay for that week by a predetermined amount. Salary will be paid bi-weekly.

This is not a party house, this is not a job to inquire about if you have a party lifestyle. We run a family oriented home and will not tollerate disruption of the home or jeopardy of the children.

The children do spend occassional weekends out of town with a family member and those weekends will be free for you to not worry with them or the dogs. In the event they spend a week or more away you will be paid for the first week, the second week you will still be supplied with room and board and partial pay.

We also offer 8 paid holidays.personal time payed.ect... A typical babysitter that only watches a child/children for a few hours at night and then puts them to bed is paid that amount. Maybe you should do some research to see what a typical nanny for 3 makes in the state of WI. If I were a nanny reading your add I would feel insulted. Would you take care of a household with three children and 2 being twins for $10hr...I mean really come on! I understand this is CL but this is not where you should be posting for nanny help on a budget..nannies for one child typically start at $10hr...give em some credit!

I know this economy sucks but do you really think you can find someone to accept less than $2.50 an hour?! Especially to watch THREE kids as young as yours, plus do housework, PLUS drive your kids around? I get paid $100 a week to babysit 2 hours a day monday through friday...thats 10 hours. And you want someone to work almost 7 times what i do, for only 60 bucks more. You are truly insane, and if you do find someone willing to accept that, they are just as insane as you. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! Treat your nanny/babysitter like they are trash and they will treat your kids the same way. Your leaving your children in this person's care. 1. I agree with the other posts, that is silly to think someone could care for your 3 children for almost 70 hours a week for $150. The economy is bad for everyone it does not mean that you should take advantage of others. Childcare is usually at least 30% of your income- get real. You are insulting to any one especially your children if that's what you think they are worth...

2. If you are the same person now offering childcare in your home instead of needing it, you should be ashamed of yourself. It appears that you have your hands full already and anyone that is willing to leave their children in your care must be a little off. Because the ad you had looking for a baby sitter seemed a little hostile and presumptuous like you are giving someone the opportunity to be around your family and how dare you (meaning your babysitter/nanny) want to actually get compensated for it?
