Saturday

The Golfing Nanny

Question: My nanny has been "teaching" my son to golf on our putting green. She played in college. He likes playing with her and wants to learn more. We belong to a country club. I can have the nanny go with my son and cover everything with our membership. If it is during regular hours, it would be just like going to a movie or swimming, and there would be no extra pay. She doesn't have anywhere to golf so if she takes him on the weekend on her time and we cover everything, including the cart, is that enough? She wants to do this. She offered. She is not a professional. I know the pros at the club get a lot of money for a round. My husband says getting to golf on such a nice course is reward enough. Your thoughts? I think we should pay what we would pay her to work those hours on a Saturday. We want this to be an ongoing thing, so I need to get it right and keep everyone happy. A second, more minor concern is that the club has a strict dress code, and she doesn't seem to have that sort of conservative sports attire. Where is a good place in Westchester to send someone for budget club attire?
