Did I Over React? ( Nanny or Mom not clear)

Yesterday in SW Houston I was going into a T-Mobile and saw a baby locked in a car seat with the windows up. I ran into the T-Mobile yelling " Does anyone have a baby in the car???!!" No one spoke up but the employees ran out and called 911. I went into the next door Wing Stop shouting for the mom or nanny - she was in a relaxed way putting napkins and straws into a bag and gave me a look like she wanted to punch me in the face. She sauntered out with a look that could kill all of us caring about the kid, she took a couple of bites of food before leaving as we took pics of her plate for CPS. Were we over reacting?

Absolutely not, you did everything thing correct! Not sure of the temp in Texas now but if it's anything like Wisconsin has been in the past 2 days , that child would not have made it long! Good job, glad you stepped up to the plate instead of turning away and not doing anything! Jaxx

we just came through a month of rain to have sweltering 90 degree humidity. ONE minute in a closed car can be fatal

Totally not an over reaction! Temperatures in a car can go up by 19 degrees F every TEN MINUTES! That means in 20 minutes it could have been over 100 degrees!

No, its summer and this was Texas. In Florida doing that is 100% illegal if car is running (which has its own dangers). If the car is not running it will be dangerous temps in more than a minute or two.
