Nanny Description: See picture.
Kid Description: 1 year old, gray sweater and gray pants (not sure if it was a boy or girl).
Your nanny was absolutely wonderful while she was swinging your child. She made noises, smiled and gushed (frankly, I wasn't that great with my kid at the age!). She is a keeper...

This is so weird! I'm glad you saw a great nanny--but did you ask if you could snap her picture and put it on the internet? If this would me praise would not be worth the needless invasion of privacy. It would have been much nicer to pay her an actual compliment in person than to secretly take her picture and submit it here.
The world is just getting stranger & stranger!
My thinking was that her employer(s) might see the post and be aware of her great qualities. I also trusted that the webmaster would block her face out partially (which was done)
Pictures are pretty common on this site for negative sightings, do you think it should be different for positive sightings? It's an interesting thought...
Yes, I do think it should be different. If you neglect/abuse a child you deserve to have your face put against your wishes/without your knowledge on a website like this. This poor innocent woman doesn't if she was doing her job and minding her own business.
(Of course, that's my opinion & how I'd feel. Maybe she would love it--but she didn't get a choice and that makes this feel so sleezy to me.)
OP, thanks for taking the time to post a good sighting. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem if my picture were posted with a good sighting, other than wishing I were better dressed and had done something with my hair. The monitors always block faces.
I agree with Emily. Obviously the editors of this site thought the picture was worth being posted, but I would be really, really creeped out to learn that someone was taking my picture while I was working in order to post about me in a blog. I understand the pictures of people involved in cases of neglect, theoretically- the subject's privacy is being invaded because they've done something wrong and the picture could identify them. This seems to overstep the line. I think it's great that you saw someone you felt was worthy of praise, but I don't think we need to see her picture.
Did you ask if you could take her pic, OP?
It's so close up! Unless you sought her permission you must have known you were doing something questionable. If you have to be sneaky and you're not planning a surprise party, they you're up to no good in my book!
I don't think it's a really big deal. As I have mentioned before, I know the type of people Jane and MPP are and I am certain that if anyone had a problem with any photo they saw of themselves/their nanny and wrote to them, Jane and MPP would remove it immediately.
I thought this was a great siting, and the nanny looks cute to me. If it were me personally, I would be flattered.
If something good were being said about me then I wouldn't mind my photo being put up. Now if something bad were being said, HIDE MY FACE! lol.
