Having had such a great nanny in the past - to where neighbors would approach us and ask where we got her b/c she was so great....I know good, bad and in-between.
I was hoping you could put a post up for my town (Orinda CA 94563) The park (there is only one, next to the library).
I was there on Friday 4pm and I think I saw only one other mom. The apathy among the 2 of 5 the Spanish speaking nannies was sad. One little baby was left in the swing, he must have been no older than 9months. He was not being pushed, just left in the swing while the nanny talked with her back to him. Another nanny was letting a 2year old play with a much older kid (that was not careful at all) and she talked on her phone.
I just hoped you could do a general post- I hope these moms take a little time to observe or have a friend observe what their nannies are doing. Three of those nannies were sweet and looked very responsible but 2 just seemed annoyed and uncaring, in fact I saw one of those nannies (an older very thin hispanic woman step in and ask the nanny to turn around and watch the baby). Even with that 20 seconds later she was back on her phone back to the child.
This is not highly dangerous or anything, but being a mental health prof. this kind of behavior really worries me.
Thank you,
AJ

I posted a submission to the blog where it says, "about" and that was yesterday. Is my post not worthy?
What was it about? We received quite a few.
OP,
Any news from the park in Orinda?
Any moms showing up & checking on their nannies?
Have you considered printing an ISYN flyer?
