Chase Bank, White Plains, New York (across from Sears).
Bad Nanny Sighting in Downtown White Plains, NY |
Incident:
Nanny (she had nanny written all over her) showed alarming disregard for baby of 4-10 months as she left the bank. The bank has a set of grand, steep steps. The nanny took the steps face forward with the baby bouncing down them in the umbrella stroller. Nanny made no attempt to rock said stroller back in fourth, but rather propelled stroller down steps in lackadaisical fashion. Baby's head was observed lolling back and fourth in a herky, jerky motion. Additionally, child had a frightened and alarmed look on his face as his mouth remained agape the entire time.
Nanny seemed disconnected to child.

Omg. Poor child! I really hope the parents see this post. What kind of a person would do that? There is no excuse.
WOW! :(
This sounds like a case of passive aggressive behavior, too bad the nanny's actually cruel enough to take it out on a defenseless BABY!
No matter how many times I witness it, or hear about it, it's still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that there are nannies out there that take their frustration and hostility towards their employers (i.e: the parents) out on the children they care for. It's not only sad, but truly scary.
I honestly shudder to think of how many children have been harmed simply because their nannies were either unhappy in their job, or mad at the parents they work for!!
Thingslike this make you want to carry a camera..and send stuff like this to the News channels. Have them play it on the evening news. To make sure the parents know the nanny is trying to scramble their childs brains. With all the great nannies out there how do people manage to get something like this one
wow this is a true bad nanny sighting. thanks for the post. this lady needs to find a new career path.
This is terrible!! What a horrible person, she could've realy injured that poor baby.I wish someone would've told her not to do that, or offered to help get the stroller down the steps and stopped the crazy twit.
Great sighting. Poor baby. I do have a question about having "nanny written all over her" though. Like, literally? Or mannerism wise or dare I say class/ race wise? Not pertinent to post because I think it is disgusting to propel a stroller down a flight of stairs as you described.... but I am curious what you meant by that statement.... Thanks!
Nanny written all over her...
ipod, skechers, trendy jeans
Really? She had tattoos that said "nanny" What if she wants to change profession? You can't tell the difference between a 4 month old and a 10 month old? If you were close enough to see that the babie's mouth was agape then you must have been close enough to tell the age better.
With the way some republicans overfeed their devil spawn, it is quite hard to tell the difference between a fat bellied republican baby of 4 and a one year old liberal child raised on greens and soy.
Love it Lucy. Republicans' devil spawn, hehe.
This was a bad sighting but I have one complaint about this post.
"nanny written all over her" and above you said because of the ipod, sketchers and trendy jeans. Well I'm going to call shinanigans on that one.
I know a lot of young moms, in fact my good friend has a child, she is 20 years old and I also know other girls who are around 18-20 who have children who still wear trendy jeans, listen to ipods and wear sketchers.
Are you saying to be a mom you have to wear "mom" clothes. You aren't ever allowed to wear "what is in style" anymore? Get real. This could have been the mom. Or an older sister. Or an aunt. Or anyone. I wish people would ASK these ladies CASUALLY before posting about them.
If someone says "she had nanny written all over her", I would simply believe that they saw enough to know she was a nanny. I would NOT press them for more details. I mean this is redundant, idiotic and embarassing that dimwits keep asking the same old question. Believe me, I know a nanny from a mother from a relative. I know. And I'm no rocket scientist. Hell, I'm a former nanny.
I know parents who don't think they're coordinated enough to walk backwards down stairs as to safely travel with the child in strollers like that. I who SHOULDN'T be walking down strollers backwards do to help the parent knowing the kids brains can be scrambled going around like this. I would never think to bounce a helpless baby the way I've read on here and I got parents looking at me like it's a weird idea to do things differently so the baby will be safe.
