Just saw (9/28-1:10 PM) your nanny on UES on 85 and 2nd. African American, very short hair, very heavy, wearing a blue polo shirt. Child is a girl between 2 and 3 years with shoulder length dark wavy hair. Nanny was yelling and possibly cursing at child. (Sent via BlackBerry)

She was either cursing or not.
Wow, one of you BlackBerry Mom's (yes, we know your type) actually had time to post to isyn? I'm shocked!
I think blackberry mom is an inspiration. All those fools typing on their blackberries like it so important. This makes sense.
So was she cursing? Did you hear her or are you just making this up? BTW, based on the description, this could be anyone. More info please.
Plenty of wise people as usual on this forum, IMHO
the OP did a good job. If this was my nanny and/or
my child I would definitely want to know. If the nanny loses it in the street, who knows how she behaves inside the home?
Please - someone let me in on what "IMHO" stands for!
IMHO means In My Humble Opinion

Whether cursing or not, she made a scene that was unpleasant and not cool. How do you think that little girl felt? I cannot stand people who create a scene in public and this maniacal nanny was directing her very public ire at a mere child.
Spooky...you've NEVER yelled at your child? I'm sorry, but sometimes, like for safety issues, you HAVE to. Even in public. We do not know why this nanny was yelling and we (nor the OP) know if she was cursing....the OP was not close enough to even tell what she was saying AT ALL (or she would know if she was cursing). ANY animated behavior, assuming yelling, COULD be cursing. This Nanny's anger could have very well been justified. We dont know and neither does the OP.
OP, which of the following was the nanny doing:
a) Cursing at the child
b) Yelling out loud enough to create a scene
c) Speaking firmly to the child
Also, how close were you to the nanny?
oh kelly, pipe down.
Jaqwuan, I love you too.
Jaqwuan, I love you too! Hmm, I meant to post my name, but somehow it didn't appear. Anyway, what the heck! I love you too Jaqwuan.
whats up w/Jaquan? I hope its okay to post more than one comment around here.
Jaqwuan does not like random strangers posing multiple choice questions to other (well intentioned) strangers.
Jaqwuan does not have to read them. Jaqwuan does not have to visit this site at all if Jaqwuan does not find it to his (?) liking.
Jaqwuan has found a new site that he likes. Expect him to be around for awhile.
Okay Jaqwuan (aka Jaquawn), first of all, I can post whatever rational perspective or question I want. I don't need your permission to use multiple choice questions. Second, you don't make a grand entrance by offending others. The bone you are picking with me is all because I posted a multiple choice question?
I am trying to help OP give us a better explantion of what happened. If an analytical perspective hurts your brain, you don't have to read my entries. You seem quite immature. Grow up, pick a spelling for your name, and tell your parents that you are blogging with grown ups.
This is stupid
If the OP wasn't close enough to tell what was being said (e.g. not knowing if there was cursing), how do we know the yelling wasn't for a valid reason? Maybe the kid tried to run into traffic or something else equally hazardous. Situations like that call for yelling so the child won't do it again & get injured or God forbid, killed.
