Lyndhurst Park. Seen last on Monday afternoon. Nanny takes care of boy named "Henry". The nanny has an accent, possibly Swedish or German. Blonde. Dresses in very tight clothing. Seems to use your child the same way single men use their dogs. To pick up. Not jealous. Just wonder how appropriate this is. I have also run in to her at Restoration Hardware in Legacy Village. She was obviously running an errand for you with Henry. Her name I do not know. But I can't believe she is a nanny. She obviously has a nice figure but wears her jeans so tight and her shirts so low. Even while at Restoration Hardware, I saw her engaged in two conversations with two different men. Does it make you at all uneasy to have a nanny that is so eagerly seeking the attention of men? I would be considered about my child being introduced to so many strangers. Your son, he must feel like a prop, no?

So what's the problem? Did she care for the child? Was she neglectful? I suspect you were jealous.
We have no hot nannies in our neighborhood. Damn.
I don't get the problem here.
What's the problem? What "should" a Nanny be wearing in your opinion? I'm with anonymous above....I don't get the problem here either.
Well this happened in Ohio. If it were NYC, I would be very concerned about a nanny dressed like a harlot trying to pick up men with my child in tow. If the nanny is a live in, I hope she gives out her cell phone and not her employer's number. Most nannies that I know have their own lines but at their employer's homes. So a reverse look up of the phone number will still deliver this bevy of men to the employer's home thereby jeopardizing the family's safety. Don't be so naive. It's all relative.
How is it all relative? How do you even know this nanny lives in? Don't most people have cell phones nowadays anyway? So, basically, all nannies should be dumpy, ugly dressed spinsters-correct?
if you don't know how it is all relative, i don't have the time to explain it to you.
She engaged in conversation with two men in a hardware store. How does this impact the child? Most young women wear tight jeans. hence the term mom jeans for baggies. I guess that is how you could tell she was the nanny.
I know the type. There are tight jeans and fashionable. Then there is putting it all out there like it's for sale or grab. Not a prude, but I wouldn't approve of it during hourse. I have a great nanny who takes amazing care of my two boys (4). During the week she wears athletic wear and pony tails so she can play soccer with them and run in the park. When she leaves to go out at night, that is another story. She's a beautiful girl, 22 and she's only been out in NY for six months- so when I see her go out, I do feel protective. I do worry about her. It isn't her style to let it all hang out while she's out with my boys & I love her all the more for that!
Why is it I can just tell by some of these commenters that they don't "get it"? There is a chance here that this woman's dress and behavior were something to be concerned about. Deal with it.
DO you think the mother never sees the nanny and doesn't know what she is wearing while she cares for the child? If she dissaproves fine - then she should deal with it, but it's not exactly harmful to the child and does not neccessarily speak to her character. She may in fact have also spoken to women in the store which is ommitted - just sounds like the poster is jealous or prissy or both
You all sound so jealous! Just admit that you wish you were her!
As a mom and former nanny, I obviously don't look like I did 10 or even five years ago (I'm 30 now, and we know both pregnancy and 30s do a number on the bod).
One of my best friends is in her mid 20s and looks much like you described this nanny. She is skinny, beautiful, trendy and above all else an excellent nanny.
You guys need to either shut up or go to the gym...just because a girl is young and pretty doesn't mean she is doing anything wrong. And chances are she is attracting attention through no "fault" of her own, and is probably not even trying. Hello! Men like pretty young girls!
