I Saw Your Nanny at the Central Park Playground

I Saw Your Nanny at the Central Park Playground off 5th at 76th street this afternoon. A maybe 5 year old boy, who had previously been bothering everyone with his water gun, grabbed my daughter's arm, called her a nasty name, and pushed her to the ground, so that she hit her head hard. She was hysterically crying, and when I approached the nanny, who was on the other side of the park, she started screaming at me, really, screaming, that I was lying and then we just got into a pointless argument with one another. Three strangers approached us to say they had witnessed the whole thing and the kid did push my daughter. The nanny still refused to back down or make the boy say he was sorry, (which was all I wanted), and continued screaming at me (and I back at her, to be fair). I never thought I would post about a nanny but this behavior was beyond anything I have ever witnessed. I would like to get in touch with this nanny's employers, the boy's parents, to explain what happened.

Please EMAIL isynblog@gmail.com to be put in contact with the person who witnessed this nanny.

Really ? Your jeopardizing this womans job because you werent paying attention to your own daughter. If you were with her,she wouldnt have been grabbed.Shame on you,you should be reported.Neglectful parenting... Its horrible... These parents take their kids to the park, sot on their phones then want to blame everyone else for the fact that they were not watching their kids.I wouldnt force my nanny charge to apologize. Grow up woman,really...

You grow up. If she wasn't watching her daughter how would she not know her daughter got hurt. And yes this nanny should lose her job. Not only was she ignoring the kid she was paid to watch by being far from where she could see him she was screaming I'm front of him. If she reacts like this in public who are we not to say she doesn't get violent at home with him? By your reaction I am assuming you are a nanny because there is no justification for her behavior

I agree with you and I'm a nanny...why would you assume she is a nanny by her reaction???

Oh lord, I get you were upset about your child being hurt, by why try to press an apology out of a kid to the extent it gets in to an argument? You should have just told his nanny what happened then left her to deal with it as she saw fit. I'm not sure what you were trying to achieve and can see why the nanny would get defensive. 50% your fault. No need to shame this woman- you were screaming too. Add your photo for everyone to identify you also.

I am a helicopter style stay at home mom.

On behalf of the nanny in this picture, I'm sorry. Feel better?

I'm a nanny and I think you have a valid point but the op shouldn't be yelling in front of the children either

you are completely reasonable here - a 5 year old boy should know not to attack another kid, and you were there for your daughter. The woman in the picture looks overwelmed - i am going to bet the parents would completely not care about their kid's behaviour but you were right to stand up for your kid and at least someone stood up to the nanny and kid to let them know what is right - stay away from that kid - he is very unfortuneate

If you are posting the photo of the nanny in question without proof that she did what the poster says she has done, you are going to get sued, and I hope you do. You have no proof what the OP says is true. You could get someone fired because of lies.

Is the woman in the photo smoking with the kid the person that the OP Is writing about? No? Then why are you publishing photos of other people without knowing the full story.

The OP is lucky someone didn't get her arrested for harassment.
