The Art Farm - N.Y.
It took me a while to decide weather or not I should try your blog. The more I thought about it, the more I felt I need to say something. This past Monday, June 27th, my son and I went to The Art Farm for a class that began at 2:30pm. There was a little boy named Max there with his nanny. At first she seemed attentive and caring. As we were leaving Max was strapped into his stroller in the hallway with all the other strollers cry his little eyes out and yelling mommy. My heart broke immediately. My son and I went over and began to play with him. I was looking around for his nanny, she finally came out of the bathroom. I couldn't believe it. Maybe I'm crazy, but I would NEVER leave my son that way or have him turn red in the face from crying and calling out for me. Babies are SO forgiving and it drove me crazy to think she would do this to him. I hope this finds it's way to Max's parents.

Since the child was calling out, "Mommy!!"...was this woman little Max's Nanny or his Mommy? Sorry, but I am quite confused.
I don't see why she couldn't just take Max and the stroller into the bathroom w/her? That is what I always do w/my charges. Hmmm....odd.
Minka...
I agree. Amazing how it's always assumed it's the child's nanny, as if there are no inadequate moms, aunts, big sisters, etc. caring for children.
Good siting OP. You should never leave a child unattended. I think that alone makes this a good siting.
I have a feeling the adult in charge here was the child's mother..not nanny. Why? Because he was calling out, "Mommy!!" vs. the actual Nanny's name.

I agree, why would Max be calling for his mommy if he was out with his nanny?
I'm assuming that the OP has a valid reason for stating that this was a nanny. The OP unfortunately did not give much identifying information, which may have helped to make it clearer. My question, to help clarify the situation, is about how old was Max? If he was very young, it's not surprising that in a time of stress, his first response was to call for "Mommy" and not his nanny's name. OP- this sounds like a valid sighting, but a bit more elaboration might help keep some questioning at bay. :)
