At about 1:15pm (on Mon. Oct. 4th), I saw your nanny, she was african-american, wearing a waist-length puffy black jacket, and your toddler was in a Maclaren stroller with a rain shield and a sun shield over the canopy. Raining pretty hard, the light was not in the nanny's favor, she is waiting to cross south on Greenwich at Warren. A speeding taxi is about to cross east into the intersection on Warren street, and instead of your nanny and your child waiting for the light, she sped across the intersection. Her friend with another child in the stroller stopped short...if I could, I would have taken a picture of her - I hope you see this, I would hope that she doesn't take chances like this again, made my heart jump.

yes, this had to be a nanny because she made a dumb decision.
this honestly could have happened to anyone: new york is a different world. cab drivers drive crazy, everyone knows that.
Lord have mercy! A woman with a stroller crossed the street without incident! EVERYBODY PANIC!
1) A woman crossed the street during terrible conditions AGAINST a red light. Might not have had a problem now, but what about the next time?
2) Was with other caregiver in the middle of the day: reasonable inference about being a nanny.
GOOD SIGHTING. (Ignore the trolls)
I think we should have a daily dumb on the nanny blog. A place where we don't know if its the nanny or not but they do something that no human should do.
ie crossing in front of traffic
People cross this street ALL the time without checking the light. It is not one of those big, crazy Avenues.
Check left, right, left, no car/bicycle coming? Good to go!
Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they are a troll. Maybe your brain would process words more correctly if you would get something to eat. Good luck with college.
I'm going to assume that (though it was not stated) the OP had good reason to believe that it was a nanny. Part of the job of being a nanny is understanding that you are holding someone else's treasured child- it's one thing to take risks with yourself, but extra caution is needed when having a child- especially someone else's- in tow. If you were the parent of that child + you watched that nanny race your child through traffic in the rain, would your heart jump in to your throat? Also, it is the job of adults to teach children how to be safe in differant situations...what is this nanny teaching this child through their actions? Think about it.
Since I apparently cannot think for myself due to my hunger (I'm a starving 2L now and will eventually be a starving lawyer), I will fall back on the definitions from the almighty Urban Dictionary:
Trolling: Being a prick on the internet because you can. Typically unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander, because it's the internet and, hey, you can.
You're wrong about my usage of the word troll: I don't think it's someone who disagrees with me. But undue sarcasm...that's trolling.
who the hell cares what "trolling" means? Someone made up the word because someone disagreed with them.
