3 Subway (Upper West Side) NYC

Where: NYC Nanny on the 3 Subway (Upper West Side)
When: June 22nd, 2015
Description: See Photo
Incident: On Monday morning (June 22nd, 2015) at about 10 am I was on my way to work (on the subway 3, Bronx bound - I walked in on 42nd and my exit was on 96th) when I saw Your Nanny.  I had a chance to witness this nanny's behavior towards her charge.
The little girl was playful and kept asking her nanny questions and playing with the fringes on the nanny’s purse. Throughout my entire ride nanny was silent, looking in front of herself rather than communicating with her charge. However, the part that drew my attention was when the nanny took her phone out and her charge started touching it demanding nanny's attention. The nanny finally started 'communicating' by telling the little girl to stop bothering her and at some point she shouted at her her charge: ‘do you want me to hit you?’. That’s when the girl stopped touching her phone, and I might be wrong.. but it seemed like that wasn’t the first time this little girl heard that.
My exit was on 96th street and thats when I took the photo, but the nanny&her charge continued the ride.I am hoping that girls parents will see this and take a closer look at whom they hired to take care of their child.

Send your nanny sightings to isynblog@gmail.com.

I agree this is a bad sighting, but that could easily be mom...

wow. just before i looked at the comments and thought - ok, someone is going to LOL LOL LOL say it's the mom LOL. No it's not the mom most likely. need to get rid of that caretaker - good luck to them

Uh RBTC, How exactly do you know that it's "not the mom most likely"? That's the stupidest assumption you could make in today's day and age... just because a child has white skin and a mother has dark skin doesn't mean that they are not related. My own mother is as white as milk and my father is a dark olive skin tone-- I have my father's deep skin tones while my younger brother has my mother's super pale skin tone. Stop judging.

I, too, am on Team "That Could Be the Mom". I've heard many a mom say that to their kids on the subway. While horribly inappropriate, I don't think we should assume it's a nanny.

Ok guys yes it could be the mom....but the point is it also could be a nanny. That's why the soghtings are posted on here in case it is a nanny. Does every single sighting have to have comments about how we don't need to assume it's a nanny. Calm down nannies, we know there are some great nannies as well as bad ones ....same for great and bad parents as well. But the purpose of this site is to warn parents of nanny sightings that they may need to check into. So if there is a chance it could be a nanny instead of a parent then nothing wrong with posting it here and we don't need the constant "why do you assume it's a nanny post". I would think most people that post a sighting either heard the child call the person by a name instead of mom or grandma or something or noticed something else that they just didn't explain in a post which made them think it was a caretaker.

It doesn't matter if it is the nanny, the mom or the dang kid's Aunt Tuesday from Florence, Arizona. Don't hit kids. Don't threaten to hit kids. If it's not a nanny, woohoo for hollowyood, you were called out as being an asshole and not a nanny. Happy?

i apologize, the child's caretaker could have been the mother, could have been the aunt, could have been the granny, could have been the tran-gender mother, step mother, step father and more --- we need an anagram for this site where the OP writes oh let's say - the caretaker could be "abcdefg...xyz" and we do not know it's the nanny but here goes .....to help a child. If we preface every sighting with the proper anagram - will it then be ok with the " we do not know it's a nanny " group? The we can get to the matter without the arguments ...maybe...i would like to know the proper anagram in case i need to post

Yeah this "it could be the mom" qualifier is unnecessary on every post. It's posted here in case it's not, enough said.
