Feature:
1) Nanny Needed (Texas)
Now, I am completely serious here. I have 32 year old husband that is 5'10 165lbs, thin framed guy. Here's he catcher.............He's an "adult baby" (just google that term) and in diapers 24/7. We have a power exchange relationship where he is the submissive and I and all women the dominant. I m looking for a female willing to babysit him when I go out. Will pay 12$ an hour and for the most part you'll just sit and watch TV w/ him at your feet. There will be the occasional diaper change ( no #2's though!) and feeding of bottles and dinner and such. Just raply if your intrested and I'll send pics and explain a little more. Basically your babysitting an over sized baby is all. 12$ an hour! Location: South Austin.

The pay. The benefits.
ReplyDeleteWait. What pay and benefits?
My head is spinning from these ads.
Apparently these parents are still spinning and haven't gotten off yet...
This ad is FAKE. It used to be a Bud Light commercial a few years ago.
ReplyDelete#2:
ReplyDeletehow is 9-5+ "part time?" ???????
wtf is right!!!
Which ad?
ReplyDeleteHow is "working" 9-5:15, PLUS some evenings and weekends, equivalent to part-time AND they have the audacity to say "since your living with us for free..."!!!! Awful, awful people, AWFUL!!
ReplyDeleteWhy is #10 posted?
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't have a problem with number 3. I'm guessing the vaccine issue has most appalled, however delving a bit deeper into the issue (personal choice of vaccinating verses not vaccinating) many of you may be be shocked as to what you will learn. (Note: avoid "mainstream media" articles regarding the safety of vaccination and delve a bit deeper).
ReplyDeleteI would hire number three (to each their own) . . . and yes, I am aware that vaccinating verses not vaccinating is a heated topic. I'm honestly not looking to start a "war" here and don't even feel the desire to debate the topic. If anyone is curious, they can do their own research, educate themselves, and then do what they feel is best for themselves and their family.
On another note, I got a kick out of number 1. I'm always surprised by how many people find it normal to post "kink" and "bdsm" style postings in the childcare section. This is not the first isyn WTF that featured an "adult baby"! I'm sure they'd get a lot greater response if they posted in a different section. Then again, I'm not sure how many "dominatrixes" would be willing to do the job for a measly 12 dollars an hour!
Is it the "NO DRAMA, NO HARD LUCK STORIES" that make #13 a wtf? Or did I miss something else.
ReplyDelete* When I said that the ad was fake I was refering to ad #1.
ReplyDeleteO wow, the antivaxxers are here. Hide the women and children! Lock up your valuables! The antivaxxers are here!
ReplyDeleteRN: I think there's a huge difference between someone who doesn't want to have their kids vaccinated or doesn't believe in vaccination, and someone who absolutely REFUSES to work with a child that's been vaccinated. That's just ludicrous. Is she afraid she'll get vax-cooties?
ReplyDelete@Lola - you're not suppose to notice that it is not really PT, so they can get you in and suck the life out of you....lol
ReplyDeleteHi RN - I sent in #3 because I found it appalling that a nanny looking for work in a tough local economy would have the chutzpah to state she refuses to work for parents who vax. I don't understand that sort of attitude from a nanny, since IMO, nanny does not make the parenting decisions - parents do! I think she is setting herself up to be seen as abrasive and high maintenance by potential employers.
ReplyDeleteAs a nanny, I would never TELL parents what choices to make WRT the controversial issues like vaxing, CIO, breast milk vs. formula, etc. I am more than happy to give my opinion on such topic, and I do so in as tactful and kind a way as possible, but I also accept and understand that *MY* opinion is not the ultimate factor. I do hope my thoughts are taken under advisement, but parents are the final decision makers.
As far as the vaxing issue is concerned, I have read The Vaccine Book, and I do ask parents if they have done research on vaxing and if they are interested in doing some reading of a good neutral book. If they say no thanks, I drop it, and move on.
I would very likely choose to use an alternate schedule for vaxing if I had a child though, but I am not willing to lose a terrific job opportunity due to a potential employer feeling differently!
#10 - I am guessing it's posted because mom/dad says the 2-year-old "will not bother you" or, apparently, need a diaper change in those 3 hours? Sounds like they are literally just looking for a warm body to be at the house, not someone to actually interact with their kids.
ReplyDelete#13 has me a little puzzled though. Maybe it's the combo of a set schedule at the top and the need to be flexible tossed in at the bottom of the ad? Or maybe the issue is geographical, as in anywhere 30 minutes or less from that area isn't exactly affordable on a nanny salary? IDK.
Actually mr/mrs yeah right, it was indeed a real ad posted! My gf and i posted it!We got about 6 serious replies to it and the first one came over yesterday and babysat me! You can actually read and see pictures about it and our lifestyle here http://www.diaperspace.com/account/bulletin/view/id_8526/ if you still have doubts. Happy surfing! It's time for a diaper change!!!
ReplyDeleteTales from the Nanny hood:
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! Especially over something like vaccinations! I mean, I could see if the nanny were really religious or something and wanted a family of their own faith, but when you get into parental/medical decisions I really feel you are overstepping your bounds.
#15 - the only one that I do not agree with is that if YOU are providing In-home daycare in your own home and you close because you are sick, then the parents should NOT have to pay you!
ReplyDeleteIf you are a nanny in the child's home, then YES you should get sick days
The nanny with the no-vaccination theory wasn't telling parents how to raise their children; she was simply looking for parents to work for who shared her philosophy. I don't think parents who vaccinate their kids would bother contacting her because they would probably think she was nuts. The parents who don't vaccinate might just be thrilled to find a nanny who shares their philosophies. At least she was being honest! I admire that.
ReplyDelete"Mommy Courtney"--caught ya! You said your girlfriend posted the ad but it states that her husband is the adult baby. So the ad is a fake or you are. Or both, which is my guess. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, why in the world would you need a babysitter in the first place? Unless you literally cannot care for yourself due to a physical or mental disorder, it is just a waste of $12 an hour. I understand getting off on that sort of thing (ok, no I don't, but again, giving you the benefit of the doubt), but don't you only want to share your kinkiness with your wife and not an employee?
ReplyDeleteI just want to end this by saying that I am totally open-minded and don't really care what people do behind closed doors, as long as those doors stay closed. The childcare section on CL is a door that should not have been opened.
This is Mannah, getting off her soapbox.
Tales from the (Nanny)Hood,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stepping in for me, I haven't been feeling too good lately. You did very well explaining the reason for the ads. You can have the job doing that from now on if you like! :)
honesty doesn't pay the bills. you can admire her all you want, but I don't. She is alienating a large percentage of the job market. How can you admire someone who is stupid?
ReplyDeleteMPP, I hope you're feeling better! You know I am happy to speak up at anytime and share my thoughts. Glad I guesed right! ;-)
