Where: Beverly Center Dunkin Donuts
Nanny: early 20's to mid 20's, wearing dark blue jeans and a blue button up shirt, with a pink shirt underneath. Blonde hair, kinda chunky.
Child: Young baby, maybe 4-6 months, wearing a Red Sox outfit in a classic winnie the pooh stroller.
What happened: This nanny was so amazing. Its not often we hear good things here, so I wanted to share what I saw. She came walking up one side of Beverly center while I was in the registry, then later on (bout 30 minutes or so) I was in Dunkin Donuts and she walked in. She was talking to the baby, holding him, singing to him and making him smile and coo. I know she was his nanny because she said "Mommy's going to love the new outfit we bought for you today!" and "Lets try to keep that outfit clean so Daddy can see that we are all rooting for the Sox." She was so sweet to him, never once did she ignore him, he was so happy just to be with her.
I've also seen her at a local park with him and she just lays him on a blanket and then lays next to him all the while singing and playing and talking. I wish there were more nannies like that out there!
aww, it's so great she was talking to him because that young I am sure some nannies just ignore their charges.
ReplyDeleteJust because someone is young 12:30 doesn't mean they will ignore their charge. Alot of the bad postings are nannies in their thirties in forties.
ReplyDeleteWell great post. I hope the parents see this. Especially, the dad.
2:05, I took the OP to mean that some nannies may ignore a charge that young (since they can be strapped in a stroller all day and can't tell their parents they have an incompetent nanny).
ReplyDeleteokay no problem 2:11 : )
ReplyDeleteShe could of been the babies aunt or the best friend of the mother. She could be the Godparent too. Talking to the baby is great.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great sighting! Very refreshing.
ReplyDeleteWhat? Where is there a Dunkin Donuts anywhere in LA? Let alone the Beverly Center??? OP, please post, was this really Dunkin Donuts?
ReplyDeleteI don't believe this post for a couple of reasons. 1) There is no Dunkin Donuts at the Beverly Center, let alone any donut shop. 2) As a major Red Sox fan who also has a baby and lives in Beverly Hills, I've never seen baby baseball outfits for any teams other than Dodgers or Angels. Granted I don't know every store everywhere and maybe this outfit was ordered, but highly unlikely it was bought locally that day. I don't know why someone would bother to post a fake post like this?
ReplyDeleteTo the two anonymous posters:
ReplyDeleteThis posting was submitted as occuring at the Beverly Center. There was no state or city referenced and I (incorrectly) assumed it was the Beverly Center in Beverly Hills. Unless the OP writes in to clarify the location, the post will be deleted.
People, why can't you be happy with a good sighting. Who cares if it was the nanny, or friend or cousin.

To make a comment you never seen an outfit, with that team logo doesn't mean their wasn't one, that she bought in the area. It could be in a store you overlooked. Or maybe, she picked one up in a different town. Anyway, why would you be so anal about something so stupid!!
well now that i think about it, i cant imagine a dunking donuts in such an elite shopping center. i am sure this is just an error on op's part, especially if she was submitting about herself.

Ok, I'm willing to be $1 million dollars that this is Beverly, MA. I'm the 2:38 am poster. Who, I think needs to get a life, but ironically, I am from Beverly, MA and live in LA so I'm in a unique position here. I think I've connected the dots. This post was bugging me, because, as a Bostonian, I love Dunkin Donuts and there are none in the entire state of California. I just called my mom and she confirmed there is a Registry of Motor Vehicles (which most states call DMV) in downtown Beverly actually across the street from a Dunkin Donuts. So this fills in the other "?" I had re: OP saying she was "in the registry" at the Beverly Center. I couldn't figure out what she meant by that other than say the Macy's or Bloomingdale's bridal registry? This also explains the ease of buying a Red Sox outfit that day. Getting one 15 miles outside Boston is a helluva lot easier than one in Beverly Hills. The only odd thing is that the OP referred to "Beverly center" when most New Englanders would say "Downtown Beverly". So, yes, maybe this is nitpicky and ok, so leave a "good post" alone. But, I just wanted to point out, I had no issue w/ the sighting, just the Dunkin Donuts had me wanting to run (w/ my nanny and baby) over to the Beverly Center since this post sounded so official!!! Ok, yes, I need to get a life, but it is kind of coincidental that I know both of these places so well, isn't it??? :)
ReplyDeleteI love Dunkin Donuts too. I think Starbucks is nasty and too expensive. There is one thing I do like at Starbucks is the Green Tea Frappacinno
ReplyDeleteI probably didn't spell that right but you get my drift.
opps I meant to sign in my name
ReplyDeletegreat stuff!!, yes there are nannies like this out there, unfortunately not many of them are mentioned mostly because they are not hired/recognized due to their gender, hopefully someone sees what i do, though, and considers me. I don't mind that i don't get mentioned but once in a while i could use the boost especially after a long worn out day with the kids. But as for either gender there are many look :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the trouble to post a positive comment.
ReplyDeleteThe headline did say Beverly, MA. It's a nice comment on the nanny.
ReplyDelete12:54, this was posted on 10/6 w/ "Beverly Hills, CA" as the location. Jane Doe then commented that she had assumed "Beverly Hills" since it came in without city or state--in response to comments questioning Beverly Hills. It has only correctly said "Beverly, MA" since about 10/12. You are late to the dance, that's all.
