Three nanny friends met at the park on Monday. One was Caucasian, two were Hispanic. One of the Hispanic sitters was very pretty with dark hair, pretty skin and a nice shape. She had on a denim skirt, flip flops and a she had on layered tank tops. She was watching one little girl who was about two and sucked on a green pacifier the entire time. The next Hispanic nanny was thin but had huge gums and some complexion problems, but a good shape. She had two very blond children with her. A boy in an orange shirt and a girl. The Caucasian had a pretty face, had golden brown hair, green eyes, great skin but was chubby. She had one girl with her who was about five, dark hair, looked to be part Asian. She was wearing a pink t-shirt that had a scoop neck and said "getcha getcha getcha". This is what I observed and I will attempt to write it factually. While two of the children were there, the three of them started a conversation about lingerie. They were giggling. Then lowering their waist bands and exposing their new purchases.
They also were talking about their bras and showing off them too. It was quick but hardly appropriate in a public place. I think they were doing in part for the county workers who were breaking nearby. The other concerning thing was that the pretty Hispanic nanny said, "If Hailey's mom knew I had her here, she would shoot me". The Caucasian nanny said, "you're too far away". Then the pretty Hispanic Nanny said, "you could still come up there. And play at their house once". Made me think that that nanny worked North. The little girl she took care of did look to have trendier, more expensive clothes on. Did I provide enough details? The other Hispanic nanny was carrying a standout bag. Big, green, with a paisley print and divets on it.
This siting is ridiculous. OP, you have way way WAY too much time on your hands. You need to get a life.
ReplyDeleteI don't think this is bad. I am an incredibly professional nanny and occassionally tell my nanny friends about a date i had the previous night or a new piece of lingerie i bought....granted, our charges are infants...but still, must we shield children from EVERYthing?...when down the street there is a billboard of some scantily dressed provocative model? big deal...
ReplyDeleteRidiculous?? A sitter has taken her charge to a park knowing that the mum would not want her to go there? I don't think it is ridiculous, this sitter is employed but this girls parents and she should make sure she is not knowingly acting against their wishes.
ReplyDeleteAs a mother who employs a nanny I would not be that bothered about bras and lingerie but cetainly about taking her somewhere she knows she should not.
Let me just say this:
ReplyDeleteI have been to some of the parks in Tucson and there are those that many adults shy away from. Tucson is a gang and drug infested city, especially certain quadrants. It is also one of the prime spots for homeless people and transients to take up residence and it's well known that law enforcement dawdles in answering calls to particular places, including some parks in that city. Some of the N.Y. snobs on here like to mock those that do not know much about their cities and bergs, but likewise, there is much about the crime ridden city of Tucson that is unknown to Easterners and should not be taken lightly.
There are parks like that in any medium to large sized city...not just in New York, for sure. Even in the mid-west where I live. Showing their undies in public and taking the child to a place where the mother does not want them to be, is not a quality I think most would look for in a nanny. I can only fully speak for myself, but in mu opinion...Bad Nannies!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me?
ReplyDeleteI seem to only care about what happens in the tri-state ny area.
Yes it is just you. Other people realize there are things of importance elsewhere in the country and, get this, world. Fucking New Yorkers make me sick...
ReplyDeleteYes... let's only care about the children in New York area. Forget the rest of the country. WTF?
ReplyDelete5:19 PM
ReplyDeleteWhat you are really saying is that you care only about yourself and your own family. I hope you are in NJ or Conn.
A New Yorker
Well, its about time that people on this site realise how bigoted and snobbish the RICH snotty nyer moms are. We should all be pelted with stones because they are children in other parts of the world that are being unfairly targeted. I mean, come on, why should anyone else care about these kids, only NYC kids need love (yeah right) all kids need love, unconditionally by whoever is administering it to them.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The site is called "I Saw Your Nanny"; not "I Saw Your NEW YORK Nanny"!
ReplyDeleteTucson IS shady in some areas. I would not be happy to know my nanny was displaying her lingerie in front of males while watching my child.
I think a man posted this. You really seem to have been watching the "show".
ReplyDeleteI agree I would be pissed if someone took my son to an area I didn't want them to be in. On the nannies side maybe in the town shes in theres no nanny friends around??? Maybe, shes lonely, and takes the child to where she knows others?
I really don't see a problem with it. I mean three young ladies giggling about bras... what are we, in the 1930s? If they were blatantly making catcalls to the guys, or having their gossiping while ignoring the children, then I get it.
ReplyDeleteBut maybe the nanny is right. Maybe the mom needs to lighten up, and not be stereotypical or racist, and let her kids play wherever it's safe.
It sounds like they had everything together. So nannies, if you read this, as another nanny from a "frou-frou neighborhood", good for you for exposing otherwise overly sheltered kids to just another playground. Maybe you should keep the bra conversation limited to off hours, or at least quietly so nanny-spies don't tattle, but who cares anyway. Sounds like you 6 had a lovely day at the park!
Same poster as above... I just had an afterthought... If the nanny is lying about their whereabouts, then that's not ok. But if the mom asks, and she tells her, then so what? Who's to say she didn't tell her all about that park and maybe broaden the mom's horizons about it?
ReplyDeleteLet me get this straight---
ReplyDelete1.the nannies giggled.
2.They compared lingerie.
3.At least one of them was not where she told her employer she would be.
Okay. #1 is no big deal.
#2 is tacky when done in public.
#3 is a dealbreaker and totally uncool.
Any questions?
Why don't we call this site The McCarthy Era Behavior Witch Hunt and just be done with it.

ReplyDeleteExcept that if you have ever read of a story of a babysitter's boyfriend raping, molesting, kidnapping or killing the babysitter's charge; you would know that the children's parents never knew they were around the boyfriend. A parent has every right to know where their children are. I also think the person who posted about the tri state area was being sarcastic. Tucson in the crystal meth capital of the world, so I'd want to know which parks my child was hanging out at.
3:09,
ReplyDeleteI agree totally.
Why don't these moms take care of their kids instead of spying on the people they hire to raise them?
How unseasonable to carry a diveted bag in 110 degree weather...
ReplyDelete954- so you think that the very moms who hire these nannies, then go spy on them and post anonymous sightings of their own nannies on an international board? That's your theory?
9:57,
ReplyDeleteI think 9:54 was speaking generally of moms and nannies.
Can you say "figurative language?"
Duh....
There is no black and white here. This is a "bad nanny" sighting. It is well known that certain parks can be very dangerous places and judging from this nanny's very own comments, this particular park in Tucson, Arizona, was one of them. She also indicated that the parents didn't know she was there and would be very upset about her being there with their child. Besides that, she and her friends were enticing nearby men with their lingerie show and that could lead to who knows what. It's difficult to believe anyone would actually defend this nanny's behavior. There are some posters on here who obviously possess some extremely low standards.
ReplyDelete9:20 - Get your facts straight. Tucson is NOT the meth capital of the country... San Bernardino and other ares of Southern California are. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteI don't what the Meth capitol is, but I know it's everywhere. There is a HUGE problem with it here and I live in Grand Rapids, MI!
ReplyDeletedid the nanny give the kid meth? I think I missed something...
ReplyDelete7:22....no this just went off into a debate about the what the biggest meth city was. I think it started with someone saying this park was in a meth area or something.
ReplyDeletewho cares what the nannies look like in that kind of detail? saying someone has great skin but chubby, huge gums and bumps on her face but nice shape makes me think the original poster was really checking these nannies out. NASTY!
ReplyDeleteyou were looking at them in lingerie . . . just admit it! lets hope you are a man...otherwise you are SUPER creepy!! LOL
LOL......if this park is such a bad place, what was the OP doing there anyway?
ReplyDelete1:46,
ReplyDeleteYour comment is exactly why people should only hire reputable, TRAINED nannies instead of people like you. It is not your place to be showing your bra and panties in a public place WITH my child in tow. Let's assume you flashed your friends in a park, was followed home by a pervert who witnessed it, and got yourself seriously hurt with my child witnessing the crime? That's the difference between you and a billboard. (SMH!)
Where are all the Park Slope nanny sightings these days? Have all those bench nannies straightened up lately or what?
ReplyDeleteGood point, c.
ReplyDeleteThe actions of these nannies was still clearly wrong, but you do have a point.
Some places are just not for children but a wary adult might be ok there
ReplyDeleteThe nannies were nitwits and the OP is a big icky pervy bastard.
ReplyDeleteThe most mature people in this whole situation were the kids.
which would prove why a child should not have been in his vicinity
ReplyDelete12:32....why would an adult have any business in a playground alone?
ReplyDeleteI used to go to the park and eat my lunch sometimes when I worked. I chose the closest park, naturally, and could watch the children at play from the picnic tables.
ReplyDeleteI think that is kind of creepy to take a lunch hour to watch children.
ReplyDeleteCrystal meth is found anywhere where there are lower middle class and poor people. It is the drug of choice for blue collars bubsies.
