Hippo Playground at Riverside Park in NYC

Received Monday, April 23, 2007
If you have a daughter named Sara/Sarah who is about 2 years old and an African American Nanny who took her to Hippo Park today, you should know that your nanny is very rough with the little girl. The nanny yelled at her, grabbed her forcefully and pushed her in her stroller. This was not a pretty site to behold on such a pretty day.

  1. I think you meant "pushing her into the stroller"? Anyhow, you shoulda spoken up. This would be the time.

  2. I just had an idea for a "Law and Order" episode. A person sees a nanny abusing a child in a park, speaks up and says the nanny will be reported on ISYN and fired and the nanny kills her! Chung, chung...
Feel free to adapt it for television, people.
Hope it never happens, but some of these nannies are so mean and evil, you never know.

  12. The posts on this site show that there are some mean and evil parents as well. Not only the racism and classism in their attitudes toward nannies, but the vicious attacks on each other... SAHMs, vs WOHMs, moms who don't have nannies smug superiority in putting down moms who do, it is appalling!
    A nanny

  14. I don't think so. But she does use an alias and a disguise, so who knows?

And, yes, there are mean and evil parents, but the scariest thing to me is that families hire a nanny into their home and never really know what is happening to their children. I've read about really awful, physically and mentally abusive women on this site at least a dozen times. Who knows what goes on in the head of a woman who would shake a baby violently in the street? Or burn a little boy with her coffee on purpose? Or smack a boy in the face for peeing his pants? She could turn on anyone who challenged her. That's why awful nannies are more frightening to me than awful parents. The nanny was a choice.
