Wanted to jot a quick blurb about the nanny I saw an hour or so ago at the Bendheim Playground. Nanny was caring for two children. One little boy approx. 2 and a little girl who was approx. 5 that had a disability. Both children were beautiful and had the same olive coloring and shade of chestnut hair. The boy wore a blue and red jacket and the girl wore a yellow jacket with many squares on it. The nanny handled the very energetic little boy at the same time she provided constant support to the little girl. I don't know if she was a nanny. She may have even been a physical therapist type. She was so good and just a naturally exhuberant and happy person. She went out of her way to engage every child that crossed her path-I couldn't help but think what a positive example she was setting for not just those children but everyone who saw her interacting with her children. She was in her twenties with short blonde hair, tan face, no make up and looked very fit.
Love to hear about good nannies! Congrats to her and her employers!
ReplyDeletethank you OP for not making the main focus of this the sordid details about the child's disability! Great Post
ReplyDeleteRock on all involved!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this. It was a pleasure to read, and I hope the parents see it!
ReplyDeletei am very surprised and happy to see that there aren't any "the nanny must have posted this herself" replies yet! maybe these pessimists are still putting their little ones to bed and haven't checked this web site yet! i'm sure my happiness will soon be deflated!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Laurie.
