BAD NANNY in CALIFORNIA - update on Nicole Conradt - worse than originally posted ;('''

The nanny (Nicole Conradt) is horrible. She would not cook for the kids. She would not clean up after herself, and will often leave a bigger mess than when she came. After I had a hard day at work, I would come home and then have more cleaning to do because I had to clean up after the nanny. she is also bad at childcare. she would ignore the kids and leave them in dangerous situations. She let my son almost drown because she was inattentive when he was in the pool.

{ Editors Note:The above was written by the father of the children - here is what the mother had to say---}

It is not a scam. She is a chef and hand model though not famous at either, so she was couch surfing when we hired her. She worked for a number of different families as a nanny and is registered with several agencies. She would frequently prqctice her recipes in my kitchen and leave me the mess to clean up. The children were terrified of her and said she yelled at them. She hit on my husband and referred to an inappropriate physical relationship with a former client.

What caused her to finally fire her was finding my son limp and drowning in the pool under water while she sat poolside doing her nails instead of watching him. After we fired her she was incarcerated briefly. She also tried to get us involved in improper tax info. Families need to be aware.

  1. Do you have any proof of this? Otherwise I think it's crazy irresponsible to post someone's name, photo, and accusations like this. For all we know, this nanny could be innocent and the person who sent this in is out to get her.

I really am disappointed by the low quality this site has turned into.

  2. from ISYN - in the 15 years or so this blog has been here, there has been 1(one) incident like that and we took down the post. The nanny mentioned in this post is welcome to contact us and present her side. We did not include the posters full name but we have the info and if any authorities need it we are here. Just remember - truth is always a successful defense against defamation

  3. You included the *nanny's* full name, though - something which, in my home country, would be grounds for legal action if the accusations proved to be untrue. I really used to enjoy ISYN, but it's just turned into a cheap, shoddy site which should have been taken down the moment the previous owners decided they could no longer run it.

    1. Agree. I am really disappointed by Leigh's response and what she's done to this forum. I don't know if she's too arrogant to admit that so many posters were right and she's ruined this forum...or what it is that goes through her mind. But this post is an embarrassment to this forum. After months of sporadic checking in to see if this website was fixed, this post is going to be one makes me done with the website. It's so sad what Leigh has done to ISYN.

  4. Guys, I am baffled by your comments, if you go back and look at the blog posts for this forum going back approaching 2 decades you will see that from day 1 this blog posts about nannies who are questionable with kids for the potential of letting parents out there know something is wrong. There have been several instances where the parents saw this, researched it and possibly saved their child's life. This reality has not changed and it will not change. We have changed the situation and now include pretty much anyone who harms or puts a child in danger including parents. We also include essays recipes questions etc by nannies to nannies. If either one of you want to write an actual informative academic well thought out essay using facts and constructive ideas to back up your postion we will post it

but - failing that, name calling is ok too as long as you do not use profanity - thank you for the feedback and have a great day!

    1. You’re ALWAYS baffled. You’ve gotten almost all negative comments since you took this site over, and yet here you are, questioning why you get negative comments. People have been constructive, they’ve also been rude, and either way, you ignore what people say. This blog has become absolutely terrible (although that started before you took over) and really should be shut down. This post is irresponsible.

  5. Also, just to inform you guys about legalities - to win a lawsuit in re : slander or libel you have to prove malicious intent - there is none here, the Op who sent the information gives every appearance of a reasonable concerned parent who wants to warn other parents. If I find out differently the post will be deleted. I know this upsets some nannies, but I and many other people see the value of the blog and it will continue - thanks again!

    1. This post is accusing her of almost “letting” a child drown. This IS slander if that’s untrue. If the mother’s intent is malicious, you’re aiding and abetting that. It’s pure irresponsibility to post this with her full name without fact checking. I’ve followed this site for over 10 years. I don’t remember ever seeing a nanny’s full name along with a picture in a post accusing them of being awful. If she’s an awful nanny then this mother should have let her go and moved on. And you should know better than to promote this. You’re not saving anyone’s life.

  6. Do you think she is a bad nanny because she makes a better celebrity chef/author??

    1. Right??? Way to do any kind of research. All you have to do is google this woman to see that she has a cookbook and acting credits to her name.

  7. Actually, I am not baffled at all, I was using irony in what I consider to be a facetious manner. I have no question at all as to why the site gets negative comments.I also have followed the site for many years since I took over and the negative trolls used to be WAY more active and egregious and profane actually. The former owner had to shut down the blog because of it for a while and even quit to get away from it. The facebook version of ISYN grows all the time. The mangy dogs can bark all they want - the caravan marches on!

    1. That’s not irony. And you weren’t being ironic nor facetious. Don’t you know that the “nanny” in this post is a chef/actress? You can find her picture all over google. Way to go!

  8. I was absolutely being ironic when I said I was baffled - but -----now i am truly baffled and gobsmacked. Yes i googled the name and see that the person is a well known chef - I put a message out to the Op to explain this and if i see that HE ( he purports to be a dad) did something nefarious here I will pass along his info

  9. Well, I did do more research and the story stands. I would like to thank the Anonymi for their comments and encouragement to dog deeper for more info. This nanny is very dangerous if the parents are to be believed and they sound credible. A textbook case for I Saw Your Nanny. Thanks to GOD that the young boy is ok, I think we can all agree on that.

  10. Pretty much two months without an entry here. Who remembers the days of "Craigslist WTF" and the Christmas Bonus survey? Please, please hand this blog over to someone who will make it worth a regular read!!
