In your opinion what is the best payroll company? We want to pay our nanny on the books. Ideally the company would also offer direct deposit, but doesn't have to.
I would love to work for you: I remember bringing up the subject of taxes during an interview and the family had a look of disinterest on their face.
I have heard wonderful things about Breedlove and associates, a company that specializes in household employee tax. Do a Google search and they should come up.
My employers use their CPA because she is cheaper than using a payroll company. She also does direct debit from their checking account and direct deposits my paycheck into my account. Just a different suggestion because those companies have exorbitant fees.
My last family used Paychex, and we never had any problems. My check was direct deposited on time, always, and I recieved my stubs in the mail on time also.
I have clients who have always used Paychex. They seem to find it pretty user friendly. They are a payroll, payroll tax, HR, 401k plans, insurance and they help with labor solutions. But most of my clients have at least 10 or more employees on payroll. I can't remember if paychex offers direct deposit solutions. This would be a good way to pay her because they can just automatically deposit into her checking or saving account. Direct deposit is a safe and conveinant. Give them a call and see if they do that. If not you can also think about having the bank wire funds into your nanny's account.
My family uses NannyChex and they're wonderful. I've had to speak with them a few times and they've always been extremely helpful and easy to get a hold of.

ReplyDeletedon't use Paychex, my cheque was always late and when you live paycheck to paycheck that's a problem.
