The Cooking Light website is pretty awesome, and links up to lots of other websites. There's a real variation in how much time is required for each meal, but many good options for under 30 min.
This might sound silly...but I have found a lot of unique and EASY recipes of Pinterest.com!! Besides that, I usually just use allrecipes.com or even crockingirls.com because slow cooker meals are the EASIEST ever!
I follow a lot of cooking blogs (because I like them) and have noted the ones that fit well with my nanny family's tastes and food values. I love crumblycookie.net and also have good luck with some blogs where the blogger has kids - e.g., Smitten Kitchen, Stay at Stove Dad. The list of cooking blogs that I like and follow is around twenty, but a lot of that is overlap with my actual life.
For websites, I love epicurious (they have an app, which is great for in the grocery store when I notice that a certain fish is on sale and locally caught) and The Food Network's page. I've had bizarrely good luck with both The Barefoot Contessa and Martha Stewart. I want to love weelicious, but it's been pretty hit or miss for me.
I also get a lot of cookbooks from the library - Mark Bittman and Barefoot Contessa are great. I personally find her annoying and have a mental block about using her recipes, but Rachel Ray has a whole thing about thirty minute meals and that might be useful to you.
Baked Bree is an awesome blog! She has kids herself and the recipes are all delicious. Some of them might be more than 30 minutes but are recipes that you can prep a day ahead. Love using it for cooking at work!
Also as N is for Nanny mentioned, Smitten Kitchen rocks. I also use Barefoot Contessa, Weight Watchers cookbooks (they have a GREAT sloppy joe recipe that is 15 minutes worth of work!)

ReplyDeleteCan anyone suggest sites for recipes for pregnant or nursing moms?
