Latina, late 30's/early 40's nanny. Long, black hair. Large belly, pregnant
One small boy, white - 1 1/2 yrs perhaps, brown hair

Child was crying. Nanny, unresponsive to crying, drags child by arm to water-spray-feature, drags him into water and gets him soaked, and he bangs his head against metal water feature. Kid starts crying even more, nanny is still unresponsive, says nothing, drags him back out by his arm and away to their bench. Observed again later lifting child by one arm after he tripped, several times. Not a loving or sympathetic nanny AT ALL. I would be afraid for what she does when alone with the kid.
Maclaren double stroller, maybe red and black? Possibly working with another nanny to care for two children.

  1. Umm...large belly? She is obviously pregnant. Anyways, that is horrible. Children's arms are so easy to dislocate when picked up like that.

  3. That's a sad, but good, sighting and great photos -- if the parents or parents' friends read this blog, the nanny/child pair will be easy to recognize.

  4. repost for anonymous:
Thank you for posting! I hope it was his nanny and not his mom!

  5. It annoys me when people always ask this, but really OP, how do you know this was a nanny?

I think this is Mommy. She has a double stroller. Probably bought it when she found out she was pregnant. Well, reguardless of who it is (Nanny/Mommy/Aunt), she sounds/looks like an uncomfortable, crabby, pregnant Lady. Good posting.

  7. Maclarens are so 2007Jun 25, 2010, 12:18:00 PM

Hate to say it, but I could go with the mom theory on this one, too, if only because I rarely see "nanny families" with double Maclarens anymore- now it's all Valcos etc.
Regardless, it's not a good way to treat a child.

  8. Poor thing is too pregnant she must feel terrible. Course I've never been THAT pregnant so I can't comment on what she feels physically. It just doens't look comfortable. But I too think she is the mom who should probably hire a nanny to be nice to her kid.

  9. That's a very prego grumpy mom. She's prob close to her due date, is hot, uncomfortable and pissy. Gives her no right to handle her child like that.
Most employers prob won't let a nanny that prego work with a toddler so close to a due date. They would replace her.

  11. I think I'm going to echo everyone else, I think it's the mom. I never doubt the op but by looking at the pictures it really does look like the mom. Which in my eyes is worse, that poor kid gets no reprieve. If it was at least the nanny the kid would only have to deal with the nanny for a few hours, if it's mom it's 24/7

Ohh and Maclarens....my boss just bought a double maclaren for her and I both to use with the kids.

  12. this is ABSOLUTELY horrible! But this could be the parent, which makes it even worse because they can't be fired! Well, I mean they can but anyway... if this is the nanny I hope the parents see this!! If not, then I hope someone who knows the mom sees this and mentions it because she needs to change how she handles her child before she gets him taken away.

  13. The boy looks like a miniature male clone of the woman.

  14. That is obviously a mom... sheesh... an dyou OP are obviously one of THOSE moms who is always out to kill the nanny. Next time look before leaping will ya, moms are not perfect either

  15. Sorry OP, gotta go with the others here, there looks to be a family resemblance. I'm betting 99% this is a mom (I've also never seen a nanny work this pregnant). I don't condone this woman's behavior in any way (it's deplorable) but I have to agree with the other posters
when saying she looks like a grumpy, hormonal, uncomfortable, hot pregnant woman. I'm only 5 months pregnant and am already starting to feel huge, grumpy and hot. lol (Again, not condoning her awful behavior, just hoping that she usually doesn't behave like such a beast to her little boy).
P.S: Way off topic, but your description of "large belly" also had be scratching my head. There is a HUGE difference between an overweight belly and a baby belly. Just saying...

  16. That is definetly the mom. Hopefully she was just having a bad day...

  17. I can honestly say that I would have confronted her about the child smacking his head and her dragging him. And then I'd have called the police.

  18. Even if she is the mom, she has no right to abuse that toddler like that. And yes, that is child abuse.

  19. If it was so disturbing that the OP would go to the trouble of posting then I too wonder what this woman (whoever she is to him) does to this poor kid behind closed doors!

  21. I'm confused as to why everyone keeps pointing out to the OP that the woman is pregnant...duh. The OP did say "large belly, pregnant"
