Centra State Medical Center - NJ

nanny sighting logo
Physical description of caregiver: Black woman wearing pink polyester pants, matching pink blouse and white kerchief in her hair. Medium complexion, approximately 50 years old, 5'8 and 200 lbs.

Physical description of involved child/children: 1 little boy in a blue stroller. Boy had a large stuffed train he was carrying. Boy was dressed in a blue short overalls. About 1 year old. Reddish hair, brown eyes.

Address or venue of observed incident: Centra State Medical Center, first parking lot off of main street on the left hand side.

Date and time of incident: Today, Aug 6, 2009 at 4:30 PM.

Detailed description of what you witnessed: I wasn't sure. I saw a child's stroller parked catty corner to a line of vehicles, but no adult. When I got closer, I realized the woman in charge of the child, described above, was crouching between two parked cars. I started to make a comment about thinking the child was alone when I realized she was defecating. I got embarrassed and walked away. I waited to see her get in one of the cars on either side of her, but she did NOT get in either car. After another minute, she stood up and pulled up her pink pants and fixed herself. I drove off because she was walking in my direction but I pulled right by the cars she was crouched between and sure enough, there was a, well there is no nice way to say this, there was a decent sized log left behind. No toilet paper or tissue. I mean I could see it from my seat in the driver seat even though it was on the passenger side of the car. That's not small.

Description of vehicle, bag, stroller that may aid in identifying involved caregiver: blue and green plaid diaper bag hanging on the back of the stroller.

  1. Jeez! She couldn't have just gone inside? My gosh!

I'm not sure how to react to this as a nanny sighting, though. I guess I question her judgment... and she shouldn't be showing the little boy that defecating in public is something that is okay to do...

  3. Why oh why would anyone crap in a parking lot? Even in the worst emergency I think I'd rather crap my pants.

  5. I remember my uncle telling me about the citizens of Korea when he was there. He said they would cop a squat anywhere and it was considered normal behavior!

Why didn't this woman just go into the medical center?

  6. The medical center isn't as close as you would think to the parking lot on the street. I know Freehold. I'm thinking she was driving down the main strip and had to duke and saw an option here. But I don't know. Since the kid was in a stroller. She had time to get the kid in a stroller. Oh, maybe she was on a walk and nature called?

I have a medical condition where I can't just "hold it." While luckily it hasn't come to this, it has come very close. I have "popped a squat" in the woods on a nature walk before. Interesting sighting. I only write in to remind people that for some it isn't exactly a choice. But what a weird situation.

I wonder if she realizes the parking lots there all have survailence cameras...

  10. My cousin has a medical condition that makes it so she can't "hold it" either.

However, having had this condition so long, she has never once been in this situation since being a small child. And I doubt she would ever sit down in a public place and go. That's just gross, unsanitary, and wrong on so many levels.

  11. ewww,
My kids and I are sitting here laughing! Although your thoughts are true enough, and I agree wholeheartedly...well...there's a sentence I never imagined anybody ever feeling the need to write!

  12. I have every sympathy for somebody who may have this as a medical issue...but seriously, if you have a problem like this and literally have to crap the very second nature calls(and I still find it hard to imagine somebody wouldn't have even three minutes warning, plus be on "high alert" to the impending need at all times), why on earth wouldn't you use adult diapers?! People with colostomy bags get along just fine...and they don't wander around in crowded public ares with hoses hanging out spewing feces on the ground.
So, my shorter point is, even if she has a medical issue (which I somehow doubt)there is no possible excuse to make this OK.

Somebody so nasty and with so little judgment...would not be left alone with my kids for 10 seconds. And she had an infant with her, so presumably she had wiped and diapers...could she not have picked her mess up, rolled it into a diaper, and cleaned herself off? Ewwwwwww!!!!

PS There is absolutely no comparison to excusing onesself in the woods on a long hike and what happened here.

  14. I had my gallbladdar removed last year, and ever since then #2 has never been the same. Now when I have to go it comes on fast and hard, and you only have moments to get to the toilet. I have never shit my pants or had to drop it in the parking lot though, as someone else said, I'd rather shit my self in the car or in my pants and go back home.

On another note, my husband is the manager of a grocery store and he says that on a few occasions he has had elderly ladies just cop a squat in the ile and shit on the floor. Maybe she isn't right in the head.

Either way, she isn't fit to be a nanny if she doesn't have the sense to know that you don't just shit where ever you want.

  15. Lindsey - I too had my gallbladder removed, seven years ago. While #2 has never been the same and there is often little or no warning as to when I need to go, I have never, ever had to shit in a parking lot! I think you're right, maybe she wasn't in her right mind.

The least she could have done was cleaned up after herself.

  16. 10 years ago in San Antonio...Aug 7, 2009, 8:34:00 PM

I think we were driving downtown, there was somewhat heavy traffic and lots of people walking on the sidewalk. I saw a large woman with what looked like peach colored pants stop in the middle of the crowd and turn her back to the traffic. As I got closer, I realized that her pants were around her ankles and it was her flesh I was seeing, she squatted...I closed my eyes. Every one else in the car said she crapped on the side walk...one of the guys said it looked like cream corn. (vomit sound)

  17. I think I would do a google check on the email address of the person who submitted this *sighting* and see if a relationship to any scat related web addresses shows up. I would imagine that people commenting or spilling their guts (no pun intended) about their bowels is exactly what the creepster wants.

If you are going to be pooping on the ground at least bring a bag to clean up after yourself! We have to do it for dogs don't we?

I had my gallbladder out a few years back and have found no different in urgency. Maybe you should be checked for IBS? All I know if I had anything wrong with me that I could not hold it for the 10 minutes it would take to find a rest room I would wear Depends.
