Missing Toddler Recovered Unharmed
The nanny, described by police as a Gilbert runaway and a suspected drug user, was taken after her detention to Sun Health Del E. Webb Hospital in Sun City West complaining of stomach problems. Police declined to discuss where the boy and the nanny were for the 24 hours they were missing, or whether the nanny would be charged with a crime. Rody said the troubled teenager has a spotty past and was reported missing by her mother in December.

PARENTS-PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE ADS HERE AND DOUBLE OR TRIPLE CHECK THE REFERENCES AND POLICE REPORTS (FREE AT MOST POLICE STATION). THE MAJORITY OF ADS ARE FROM PROFESSIONAL AND RESPONSIBLE NANNIES.STILL YOU SHOULD ALWAYS ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 20-month-old boy and his baby sitter, Amanda Nicole Rainey, 15, Surprise police said.

Michael Wolfe was last seen Wednesday afternoon in Rainey's care, officers said. Rainey was supposed to be taking the boy to a park, but she never returned, authorities said. The toddler's mother lives in the Philippines, police said.

According to police, the boy's father hired Rainey to baby sit after seeing her ad on Craig's list. She had been watching Wolfe since Monday, investigators said

  2. Oppps! I apologize. I didn't realize it has been posted already. Again, sorry for reposting this. I just saw it now.

  3. The babysitter was only 15. So therefore, not a nanny, and probably part of the abduction, or case. I feel sorry for both sets of parents here.

  5. The problem is not Craigslist. You can find good professional nannies there. This was a fifteen year old kid, who may have been abducted along with the two year old. Let's hope they are both safe, and will be found soon.

If you are hiring a teenage sitter, it should be someone who's family you know, and who is clearly mature and responsible.

  6. This 15 year old girl claimed to be 19 and was a meth addict, she took baby items from the home and left with a woman in a tan truck.

  7. Michael Wolfe has been found and he is safe. No further details yet about Amanda Rainy, the babysitter.

  8. Shame on the newspaper calling a 15 year old a nanny. That isn't possible. What the hell?

  9. Thankfully, the little boy was found before it was too late.
If you speak with references, and check ID (a passport is not likely to be fake) which would have shown age, you won't end up leaving your child with a fifteen year old runaway druggie. Shame on that father.

  10. Wow! What a turn of events ...

    Most recent Update:

"Police said the father hadn't done enough research on Raney before hiring her to be a live-in babysitter for his child.

The father didn't ask for identification, according to authorities, and didn't do a background check on Raney after first finding her babysitting advertisement on the website, Craigslist.com."

So CPS has the child while they are investigating what happened.

Is that a thunderous clap of applause I hear? Is a Parent really going to be held responsible for his negligence?
I'm not sure I can actually believe this ....
    Good for you, Arizona!

Slap Daddy with a wet noodle, make him take some Parenting classes, then let the kid go home ... I'm sure the Father will never make a mistake like this again.

  11. Yes. ALL PARENTS should be punished when they leave their kids with psychos, whores and pigs while they galavant about their days or go to their fancy jobs. some of the nannies i see with sweety faced kids i wouldnt trust to pick up the garbage in my backyard. the time is now to crack down on the miserable parents who dont take shortcuts when it comes to dinner reservations, handbags or luxury travel but like to take shortcuts when it comes to leaving their innocent babies with some stranger psycho from craigs list or from some worse place where you wouldnt think of getting a babysitter!
