On Thursday, November 1st at about 9:30 a.m., a little boy, named TAYLOR, about 2 and 1/2 years old, dressed in a Buzz Lightyear (Halloween) costume was at Burbank Park with his nanny and a group of other nannies and children. My source observed Taylor having an physical altercation with another child (as toddlers do!), and the nanny grabbed him, began hitting him and yelling at him calling him a "bad boy!", etc. Clearly this child needed redirection - NOT physical or verbal abuse!!! My source took it upon herself to step in and try to redirect the nanny, who not only became defensive toward my source, but the other nannies came to her defense as well. My source observed Taylor very upset and unable to console. As a mother, I cannot imagine this happening to my child with the person whom I entrust their care with!!! If ANY of you have an idea of who this child belongs to, PLEASE forward this information to the parents so that they are aware of the dangerous situation their child is in.
"my source" um, what?
ReplyDelete"but the other nannies came to her defense as well". Do you mean that the other nannies sided with the bad nanny and ganged up on your nanny?
ReplyDeleteWhere did this happen? Why with so many adults present were police not called when the nanny started hitting the child? No need for a confrontation or problem, call 911, let the professionals handle it and let the nanny be arrested if she is abusive. Why other nannies would defend this animal is beyond me, but doubt they would do so to the police.....poor Taylor.
ReplyDeleteOP- please let us know where exactly it occurred so others can spread this email to all they know. Thanks.
I saw this on a local Los Angeles message board. It happened in at Burbank Park in Burbank, CA.
ReplyDeleteHello Parents!
ReplyDeleteI juts got confirmation that this took place at Ralph Foy Park
in Burbank!!!
So now we're posting bad nanny reports that were originally posted on other message boards?
ReplyDeleteJane, you must be getting desperate.
I'm still trying to deal with the "my source" comments.....is this a joke?......or should we start a "My source Saw Your Nanny" blog spot? 'Seems a bit crazy to me. I really don't want to read hearsay.
ReplyDeleteThis sighting was emailed directly to ISYN. I am uncertain exactly what "anonymous @ 11:19" is implying we are desperate for.
ReplyDeleteThose "wonderful" stories of children being abused and tormented by the monsters that have talked their way in to nanny positions?
I think not.
Please feel free to email me directly if you have questions, comments and concerns regarding any content on this blog.
This posting is kind of confusing and just weird, but keeping with the theme of the blog, I do think this was a very bad nanny and I hope the parents see this and find her behavior unacceptable. Unfortuantely, I have seen parents react this same way with their kids.
ReplyDelete11:19 is just another one of those that troll the blogs to see what kind of drama they can stir up. It's obvious.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Meme. In the theme of this blog, this does sound like a pretty bad case since it involves hitting a child. Perhaps one of our CA moms can link us to the other place this is posted. I am interested to see if this nanny is outed.
ReplyDeleteI don't see the problem. If somebody hits a child, or is in any way endangering a child, it should be posted anywhere and everywhere it will be accepted. I wouldn't mind seeing it on the evening news...pictures of nannies or anybody else who abuse kids. The parents need to know. The point of this site is not to amuse us, but to do everything possible to see that the right people get informed of the abuse. If the parents never know, the kid keeps getting hurt.
ReplyDeleteI should point out that I'm 11:30pm and on that LA Moms message board, bad nanny sightings are frequently posted. Further, people often refer the poster to THIS AND OTHER sites/blogs to FURTHER post the bad nanny sighting. I for one have done that. To accuse Jane of trolling for postings is absurd. Surely, people send these in to numerous places hoping to hit a mark. So, 11:19am get a little logic going in that brain of yours, ok?
ReplyDeleteWhat if the parents allow the nanny to hit the child? ie spank not abuse.
