Walking North on Locust Ave past Thompson in Larchmont, NY

Received Monday, October 29, 2007
White nanny with short, curly hair, bushy eyebrows, glasses and a thin build. Wearing blue jeans and a maroon sweater with a collar. She was taking care of two boys, both blonde with tan and good looks. Smaller boy was 3ish and older boy was 6ish. Altercation occurred on Walking North on Locust walking past Thompson in Larchmont this afternoon, (10/29) and involved your nanny asking the older of your childreb to see his backpack. He seemed to gesture "wait" or something to that effect, but the nanny tried to take it from him. The child grabbed it back, pulling against her. The nanny harshly yanked the backpack away from him and with her opposite hand pushed the child to the ground. The backpack was brown, tan and black and had a symbol or logo on it that I have never seen before. If you live in the Larchmont area and your child carries this backpack, your nanny is way too aggressive with your child! The child got up and was not harmed, but that is hardly the point.

  1. Nasty nanny. Hope someone who knows her sees this.

  2. Sounds like a really crabby older sister looking for her lost cell phone. Whatever she is to the child, she needs to pick on someone her own size. If she really must shove him, she should wait til he is 6'5".

  3. That nanny needs to go.
Another mean spirited slut trying to be a nanny.

  4. Sounds like she wanted to see what treats he may have had in his bag. With Halloween around the corner, he probably had some goodies she snatched.

    Disgusting

  5. or she was just a control freak nanny. shouldn't be hard to find a white nanny with bushy brows in larchmont. most nannies are not white (no offense, just a fact) and most eyebrows are manicured.

  6. bushy eyebrows! does frankenstein ring a bell?

  7. I know exactly where this is. I live not far from the area. Can you please provide more details? What exact time did this occur? Which way were they walking? What more can you say to describe the kids and nanny? Can you guess which nursery school or other school they may have been coming from or going to? This neighborhood's elementary school is Chatsworth. I am hoping you will provide some more details that will help identify the kids/nanny.

A horrifying story. Can you imagine how she treats the children when inside and out of view, if this is how she treats them on the street in broad daylight!?! Terrible. So humiliating to the children.

Why didn't you call the police? Please call now. The local number (non-emergency) is 834-1000. Please call in the morning ASAP. Tell them that you saw a nanny push a child down for no reason in the middle of the sidewalk. This type of this cannot be tolerated. Please make that call. Thank you. I am sure that the Larchmont Police would be very responsive.

Also, talk to the crossing guard at Boston Post Rd. See if she knows the kids/nanny you describe. The crossing guard is there only at certain times of the day. If you need the times, let us know and I will post them.

PLEASE call the police and do something about this. Thank you!! The children will thank you too.

  8. 10:07, is this sarcasm?

  9. I can't tell, but I doubt any police agency would be interested in hearing this...especially days later.

  10. Hi Jane Doe,

Why don't you create a true separate forum where people have to log in?

can you explain why you are using such an open process of reporting criminal activity?

Some of the accusations are very serious on this blog, you should take this seriously too and allow authorities too trace these incidents. And also, while I think you have a worthy blog, you base it around the assumption that there are bad false nannies out there and not around the fact that there obviously bad parents too, who could easily make up embellish and distort just as nannies do. You have too much faith in human beings.

Half of these posts are people trying to guess who's posting anonymously as it is and if you have people log in they can at least have identity yet still be private. people would also have to post a lot more intelligence too.
You'll take a huge step up if you consider making this a serious forum.

  11. Oh my. Who are you? What criminal activity? The goal is to get the people to get involved then and there. But if people can't or let the moment slip by, they have a forum here. Not to report the activity but to let the parents know what is going on. What activities would you like to see traced?

"this blog works around the assumption that there are bad false nannies out there and not around the fact that there obviously bad parents too"

right. because the blog is called I Saw Your Nanny. If you want to report bad parents, then go to report bad mamas or any of the other report bad parents blogs.

This is an open forum for parents and nannies. Like many boards, forums and blogs, registration is optional. Personally, I like it this way but do wish that people would choose a moniker. I do not like sharing conversations with "anonymous".

Not everything on here is serious.
But thanks for visiting, Debbie Downer.

  12. You sound pretty sensitive. I am glad that you feel the pain that I feel when I see things like this. The truth is parents need to be pressured to hire BETTER nannies.

What would happen if this nanny was confronted?

    "It was an accident"

  13. I can't get past the busy eyebrows, for some reason. This nanny sounds scary, not just via her actions but she sounds scary looking. This nanny needs to be outed. Everyone in that area should be on the look out for this bushy-browed, bespeckled, skeletal nanny in the company of two young boys. I have a very bad feeling about this person.

  14. It's me, 10:07 here. No, I am definitely not being sarcastic or joking. I still think that the police should have been called. I don't understand why you would think that it's not a matter of police business if a child is being knocked down on the street in broad daylight by an adult. Of course it is police business. It is assault. There is no doubt. Anyway, let the police come and decide if there is any doubt that it is assault. It is also called child abuse. You can't just go around hitting people or knocking them down, let alone children.

I still think that if the OP calls the police tomorrow morning, they will care.

I agree that it is bizarre that this site actually sometimes amounts to being forum to report child abuse. Child abuse should be reported to the police, the minute you see it happening!!!! Then, later you can come on this site and report it to all of us.

  15. 8:50
That all makes sense, except she has no idea who the person is. I just don't see an investigation or manhunt happening here.

  16. How nice! Cassidy at 1:08am is the blog police. How nice of you to tell Jane Doe what to do with her blog. I think I should ask JD to take care of my personal request too: I want everyone who visits this site to drink a bottle of red wine with a bag of Cheetos before they post any comments.

  17. It's me, 10:07 (also known as 8:50). To 10:38, of course I doubt there would be any sort of manhunt. I am assuming (perhaps wrongly) that the OP has a cell phone. I would have preferred that the OP had called the police right there on the spot. There would be no manhunt needed because the police would come to check it out and would see the offender. But the OP did not call, instead she posted on this blog. I still suggest that she make call, and that she talk to the crossing guard I mentioned. This area has a small town feel and many people know each other. While I am not expecting a manhunt, I still think something could be done, and something would be done, if the OP will contact the authorities. Doing something is better than doing nothing. At least try, I say.

  18. A cell phone photo would have done the trick quite nicely.

  19. OP, please post again and tell us that you at least spoke to the police, or did other things to try to find out who the family is! Thank you!
