Playground behind 190 West End Avenue in NYC

Received Friday, October 19, 2007
Yesterday, (10/18) at the small playground at Lincoln Towers, behind 180 West End Avenue and there was a little boy named Max. He was probably between 12 months-15 months. He was a little guy. He was with a very large, African American nanny who had long curly hair. She ignored him completely and spent her entire time on the cell phone. Meanwhile tiny Max needed help, which came by way of other nannies and other parents who took care of Max. We made sure that Max wouldn't get hurt. Your nanny can't count on that happening next time and neither should you. Hire a real nanny! Max deserves better.

  1. Did anyone say anything to the nanny like "Hey, Max needs help"?

  2. If EMPLOYERS hire these obstinate, intimidating, thug like women to take care of their children; they cannot expect us to risk life and limb to point out the obvious. The nanny knew damn well the child needed help. She could have taken anyone of us down and she didn't give a rat's ass that we were tending to the child. Her demeanor suggested she felt entitled to a break and we were there to help her.

    TO OR-
    Are you in NY?
Do you know how menacing these nannies can be? They don't smile. They rarely have teeth.

  3. Dude Max is like two years old already.

What's he shrieking for help for anyhow?

I mean they've got to grow up some time!

  4. WHO has decent dental care? I pay for health insurance for my nanny but my dental care is out of pocket for myself.

  6. yes something is dreadfully wrong with amanda come lately. Poor little fella. Hopefully someone will out this lazy slug.

  7. Yes, watch out for Superamanda, Dark Seaweed, Saggy breasts, Eric, and any other obviously unbalanced anonymous posts. They all seem to be coming form Amanda and her boyfriend (and that's only if the "boyfriend" actually exists!)

  8. No I am not Amanda, when I write a comment its from me, not someone else.

  10. What the F is wrong with you people?! This post is obviosuly a lie....You all pick on black nannies for no reason whatsoever. There is not a nanny that will just let a 12 month old run free on the playground. You all are obviously young children making stories up just to get a rise.

And a thug? You're saying because shes black, she's a thug... w/no teeth? Go to he**! You all seriously need to take care of your own kids, I swear. You complain too much, and you're disrepectful. I hope your implants blow up, and your dumb husbands keep cheating.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I have seen no evidence of black nannies being picked on here.

  12. Shitty nannies will be outed without regard to race, color or creed.

  13. eric's mom,
Not you. There is an Erik that is Amanda's boyfriend. He also goes by Dark Seaweed. It appears that Amanda may also go by Saggy breasts, and potentially other names as well.

  14. Amanda,
Time for a wake up call.
    You are not British.
    Stop posing.

  15. To poster at 11:24, you say

"You all are obviously young children making stories up just to get a rise....You all seriously need to take care of your own kids, I swear. "

So are we children, or do we have children? You seem to just be throwing out random accusations without much basis...

  16. Amanda-
You are turning more ugly by the minute. I thought you were okay.
You can share your opinion without being a bitch.

    Removing your comments? Sketchy.

    Mon âne blesse.

  18. dang, i no sooner read your post than you delete it! wild.

    listen up, chubbs-
if mothers didnt leave their children with caregivers-what would your nanny ass do?

didn't you say you were a nanny?

you'd be strutting your fat ass around some seedy stripper club (where hoes go to die) near LAX.

    get over yourself, you freak.

  19. Notice again all the removed items surrounding Amanda's posts. (Shows her propensity to go way over the top...just as Saggy breasts did.)
Also her 1:57 reply to ceo, in the same format as her replies to posts where she uses her 2Amandas persona, expose her as the Anonymous 11:24 writer. I guess there are just not enough names she can think up, so she also goes anonymous at times.

  20. Really Amanda and SuperAmanda? All day...every day?
Now all I see when I come on here is Amanda writing one excruciatingly long post after another, apparently under several different identities too, and her fighting with everybody else.

    What happened to the children?

    ReplyDelete
  21. What you din't realize Amanda, is that while you are writing all day long every day, the people you are speaking to are a lot of different people who pop on and off of here between the busy times in their lives.

    Is that you again 2Amandas?

  25. My god, the only reason I am seeing so much talk about this said: Amanda is you other women going back and forth about her. Did I miss something? I left for a few days and you guys seem to have an obsession with another poster???? Can we please talk about crappy nannies, and at-least pretend we are attempting to save the world? ;) All joking aside, this is just bizarre...what gives?!

  26. troublemaker sees isyn on The View.
troublemaker hates Elisabeth Hasselback. Troublemaker hates everything Elisabeth Hasselback says. Troublemaker is banned from going within 500 yards of Elisabeth Hasselback, Abc studios in NY, Matt Hasselback or Sherri Shepherd, so she comes to the blog. Her ankle monitor does not go off. She blogs and posts near porn shots of her long woobies juggling apples. It's over now. Back to PG-13 and saving the world. Makes me long for Maggie.

  27. Wow, I stay off for most of one day and it sounds like Amandas has been continuing her obsession with "not caring" about anyone here for the last 24 hours straight. What did I miss?

    ReplyDelete
  28. she was something else, that's for sure. Glad she's gone. Thanks JD

  29. My question is:
If the nannies don't smile, how do you know if they don't have teeth?

    ReplyDelete
  30. To jen hutchinson,
I am a former nanny and now run my own childcare center. To answer your question, what would nannies do if mothers started raising their own kids, well, I think there are many options for them, especially the good ones. However your question is pointless because I know that even my future great-great grandchildren will never see that day.
I also agree with the woman who commented that it is crazy to become obsessed with one poster. Get on with your lives, people.

  32. sammy in ma-
I am quite concerned about the number of nannies who seem to think that mothers should not be working. It would not be an option for every mother in America to only work in a daycare setting, do the math on that one. Any other mothers frightened to comprehend the closeted rage these nannies have for us? We pay their salaries and put shoes on their feet, yet they go hither and tither and mock us for our choice to work. A wee bit hypocritical and a whole lot suggestive of mentally unstable!

  33. mommy yell at kids too.
mommy chat long hours on the phone too.
Turn the situation round. what would be your comment if the "Nanny" is the mommy.. would you spy on them and write horrible stories...

    ReplyDelete
  34. If whoever you saw is the mommy ..what would be your comments..monkey see monkey do.mommy chat long hours on the phone and they are busy texting and chatting with other mommies while their kids play.. they yell and scold too. nannies are human too. they have feelings just like mommies. How much do you pay for a good nanny and give them either suitable food or food allowance. Most nannies have no time to cook for themselves. so they bring their own food when mommy should be the one taking of their food and welfare. Are mommy paying them extra for long hours and extra time. Is your nanny happy?

  35. A nanny is not a parent.
She gets paid to do a job.
She gets paid an hourly wage to do a specified job.
When I clean, I clean in the buff blasting Ronnie James Dio music. I don't iron. I leave streaks on the windows.
When my housekeeper cleans, she wears her work clothes, headphones attatched to her head. She leaves no streaks and irons like a fiend.

    apples to oranges.

  37. I paid my nanny $17 on hour on the books to watch one child. Her references were great. She had been working for us for 6 weeks when I paid an unannounced visit to her. She wasn't where she said she was, so I had to look for her. When I found her, she was sitting on the hood of a car, my child was parked in a stroller next to her, she was holding hands with a male and having a smoke with him and his cousin. I took my child then and there and never spoke to her again. Please do not minimize the harm being done to children by horrible childcare providers. Encourage those around you to hire professional, American help. Encourage background checks and most importantly- unannounced drop ins!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I will say, I think very highly of my nanny. But, I am the queen of drop-ins.
First it gives me the chance to steal a hug and a kiss from my children but, also, everyone know I am watching (kids and nanny).
