If you have a little girl named Ellie who is blond, about 18 months old and rides around the UES in a turquoise volo stroller, please take the day off tomorrow, have a friend help you or hire someone to trail your nanny. Your nanny is downright frightening. I have seen her a few times this month, most recently buying a paper outside the *Neue Gallery this, (10/31) morning at around 10:oo AM. Your child is white, a girl and aside from being fair and blond, I have only ever seen her strapped in her stroller. Your nanny is black, unremarkable in her appearance and today wore black boots that had a pompom hanging from then made of what looked to be rabbit fur. Hope that helps.

Another lazy nanny slug out looking for a date. Fire her.
ReplyDelete?
ReplyDeleteWhats this post about? So what is the problem, she bought a newspaper and...
There is really no information here, other than the OP's subjective impression that the nanny is frightening. What does she do to give this impression? Where did you observe them other than on the street, that the toddler should have been out of the stroller?
ReplyDeleteObviously OP is not telling us specifically what the nanny in question did. She is telling the person who employs this nanny to spy on her. Do you feel jilted because you did not get the low down, dirty gossip?
ReplyDeleteI am not one of the above posters, and I don't feel jilted, however if I was the mother of this child I'd want to hear more than a simple non-descriptive "she's frightening." How so? All people are different (as we've witnessed on this board time and time again) some, fly into fits of tizzy if their children so much as look at fast food let alone eat it. lol While others are, shall we say, a bit more laid back?
ReplyDeleteHow do I know that your "frightening", isn't my cup of delicious tea? Okay, so it probably isn't, but OP can you please give us more detail(s) so that mommy and daddy take you seriously enough that they actually take time out of their busy schedules to look into this! On the internet, where every one is quite "anonymous", and some people *ehem* are known to over react it's easy for others to not take the true serous matters seriously, that's why being descriptive about what you witness is important.
It sounds like the same person that has posted in the past. Always, in New York, always a black nanny with a white child. And always a vague description. Never a description of the so-called neglect.
ReplyDeleteOP, could you be a bit more specific about what was frightening?
ReplyDeleteThis is OP, if you think this is your nanny, please contact me and I will share with you what I have observed over the past month.
ReplyDeleteStill, I don't understand why a parent would need so much to go on JUST TO CHECK in on her nanny. How disappointing. I am not hear to titilate you with stories of abuse and mistreatment.
I am not going to post my real email address on a nationally read blog, but I have set up this email and will check it.
entourage@rock.com
And is anyone but me concerned that so many people are dying to know what I observed? Are these the same people that push rescuers out of the way to see the gore at a crash site?
"Always in New York, always a black nanny with a white child."
ReplyDeleteYes honey, that is how it goes. Lotsa nannies in NY. Lotsa white kids being taken care of by Black nannies. You act as if you have unearthed some powerful clue.
(UGH!)
Again, OP, I was NOT asking out of "titillation" or feeling jilted or any other abnormal response to your post you may dream up, and I'm actually quite appalled that that is what your mind jumps too automatically! I am a teacher and the last thing I am looking for as a form of "titillation" is abused children, so please don't make rash assumptions about people you have never so much as spoken to. I was simply asking you for more details, in hopes that you could light a fire under this child's parents asses, so to speak. I am here for the same reason you are (I assume),...hoping that some of these nasty beastly nannies get caught! Sorry, for attempting to help you follow the "I saw your nanny" guidelines.
ReplyDeleteAny way, thanks for posting an email where the parents can contact you. All I was asking for was a way to clarify for the PARENTS not myself or anyone else, and yes sadly some parents do need "proof" in order to check in on their children (that is unfortunately, how so many sick people get a way with child abuse in a lot of cases and why we continue to see such sub par-to put it mildly-childcare) any way, now that you have posted a way to contact you I am appeased. ;)
OP -
ReplyDeleteThis is not my child nor my nanny but, thank you for posting. Hopefully the mother will see this post and find out what type of nanny this woman really is when not under mom's watchful eyes.
OP,
ReplyDeleteYour post was not a good one. It lacked any sort of description. I don't think anyone here wants to be tittilated with tales of child abuse, and I think the mere accusation of that makes you sound like an ass. The point of this site is to help kids.
Next time, please explain yourself. Otherwise we simply cannot take you seriously. Who knows who you are? Perhaps the nanny stole your boyfriend and you are trying to get back at her for some reason, or set her up.
Why can't you just tell us how she was "frightening?"
I think the OP is another nanny trying to get a new job.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! It's hard to comment when it's not clear what the 'frightening' nanny did. Was she running full speed in high heels? Did she hit the child? Did she have bad makeup on? Did she say something mean? Does she meet up with her boyfriend too often? Are you stalking her? Did you ask her out and she told you to go to hell? I hope the parents are able to e-mail OP, and I hope this sighting does not turn out to be a hoax. Then again, I hope it is hoax, so we have one less kid to worry about.

ReplyDeleteI was just stating what I have read about on other blogs. I think I know N.Y. since I live close by and go there every week.
Kelly,
ReplyDeleteYou sound really classy.
This is one of the most BS laiden "sightings" I've ever read in my life. This is shear BS. Any parent can read this and e- mail you. You gave nothing, and it didn't have to do w/ tales of child abuse titilation-just omething, a hit, a strangle, too many hot dogs. Sounds like you just felt like downing a black nanny. Is this a bad neighborhood or something? Must be a racist, that's nothing new. Get over it,get off it, or get on it, dam*it!
ReplyDeletePerhaps you should avoid commenting if you do not know or understand the nanny world and the components of NYC. No, that is not a bad neighborhood. Some people witness things in public that they want to discuss with the parents. Perhaps they attempted to follow said nanny from the location she was spotted at to see where she lives. Perhaps what she witnesses may have to do with personal details? Nothing about this reads as phony or racist to me. Any parent can read this and email OP?
ReplyDeleteReally? How many parents have a child with that name, that age, a nanny and have that same stroller?
Are you 12 years old?
11:03 you sound like the OP, and this does sound fake.
ReplyDeleteI have been on this blog for a long time. There have been similiar postings on here before.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand what you are calling fake. The OP didn't even say what the nanny did.
Why don't you contact her?
Additionally, people on this blog who have monikers should be addressed by said monikers not as random numbers as the many ignorant anonymous commenters must be.
Gosh Paul...
ReplyDeleteare you running this blog now? Did Jane Doe delegate you some supervisory powers? I figure she must need some help being that this blog is so very busy. Oh, and please, when you address me, make it Ms. anonymous1. Thank you.
OMG...at least it is never boring around here!
ReplyDeleteYour sooo right Meme!.....it's never boring...that's why I "tune in" every day. Anyway...as a child care provider...my concern is that the OP has obseved this "frightening" nanny for a MONTH!....why have you (OP) not posted till now?......and if this child is being harmed, then shame on you for letting it go on this long. Call authorities if this nanny is abusive or confront her for crying out loud!
ReplyDeleteGood Point, Kate.
ReplyDeleteOh, I get it now.
ReplyDeleteThis site is where all the smart people get together. It's so obvious now!
9:24pm thats what the site is for so they can be reported and yes it involves the dirty juicy gossip.
ReplyDeleteGOSSIP is hear-say less than the truth
ReplyDeleteOP here-
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to update. This nanny has been terminated. I was able to make personal contact with the mother (not through the blog-but following another encounter with the nanny). The mother was very grateful that I came to her with the information, so as a lesson to your readers out there- if you see something that disturbed you, keep trying. Find the parents and make sure they know how their child is being treated. This blog is a great tool, but don't stop there.
How many parents have a child with that name, that age, a nanny and have that same stroller?
ReplyDeleteyou'd be suprised 11:03pm
good way to clean up your mess op
ReplyDeleteHurray for the OP!
ReplyDeleteNow, I have to ask... did the mother even hear of this blog? Odds are no.
This blog was set up for nannies and stay at home moms to badmouth other nannies. It's just an ego stroke/gossip site.
Sorry Jane.
Bitter troll at 3:19,
ReplyDeleteNo that isn't why it was set up.
There are success stories, if you wish to call them that. There are a number of people who check this blog on a regular basis and can use the "email this" feature to reach still more people.
I don't understand why you are still here. Are you vying for hall monitor job?
