I saw your nanny 9/20/07 in Yorkville, IL. At Jewel-osco. She was Filipino or of Asian decent. Your children were light hair/light eyes. I believe she had her child with her as well. Your child was about 4 or 5, dressed in all purple. Your child was crying and crying and the nanny was just yelling at her to be quiet. It all took place in the parking lot (they were in a dark blue mini van) your child was left behind in the middle of the parking lot while the nanny yelled. The nanny finally went and got her. Yelling the whole time. It was sad for me to see :(
My kids pull this sometimes when we are out. I have them standing next to me, and I tell them to hold on while I get the baby in the car. Next thing I know they are walking away from me, etc etc. I have to yell at them too to come back. And to listen to me. Its so stressful at times. Because you are worrying about your infant and your older kids. Sometimes I just want to hide from them all
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly was she yelling about? Not so sure this was a BAD nanny sighting. Not that this was completely acceptable behavior, but anyone....no matter how perfect you think you are....can lose it at times.
ReplyDeleteWhen putting the baby in the car seat, it's safest to set the older children first IN the car, just in the passenger seat, or standing or whatever. At least they are safely inside the car while you're buckling up the baby.
ReplyDeleteIt's unthinkable to leave a 4 or 5 year old child left behind far away from you in the parking lot. Very unsafe and I'd want to know if I had a nanny who did this.
She was yelling because she was too lazy to go over and guide the child to the car, the child she should have kept by her side in the first place.
ReplyDeletewhat in the hell is a Jewel Osco?
ReplyDeleteJewel-Osco is a chain of stores, mostly in Midwest. Jewel is the grocery store, Osco is the drug store. Most of the time they are connected, sometimes, but very rarely you will see one without the other. Does that answer your question?
ReplyDeleteCali Mom...thanks you for your ever so helpful safety instructions. You are a real piece of work!
ReplyDeleteOh cheer up sweet-cheeks, you'll feel better next week. >: )
ReplyDeleteAre you the same Cali Mom that is on CafeMom?
ReplyDeleteNo. What's that site? Mom forum?
ReplyDeleteCaliMom: yes. it's a social networking site for moms. There was a Cali Mom...I think it was actually CaliMom2...in one of the groups I am in and I just thought of you and wondered if it might be you.
ReplyDeleteInteresting...not me though. :)
