Three Crying Infants in A Utility Closet

A Lafayette, Tennessee father is defending a daycare operator accused of hiding children in a closet during a surprise inspection.
Joel Coe said Colter was good to all the kids and that she even built an elaborate playground in her back yard for them. "It was so clean when I went in there that I would eat off the floor," he said. The pictures tell a different story. State inspectors took the images Friday, during a surprise check of Colter's home. Three crying infants were found in a utility closet next to a water heater and electrical box.

  1. Yeah, it was "so clean in there" because they kept the kids locked in a closet, dumb ass! People from Tennessee are slow.

  2. That's not a nice comment to make. Many great people live in Tenn.
Including, one of my favorite people.
    Fred Thompson.

  5. Elvis was from Tennessee. I always wondered why no one ever questioned his sexual relationship with a thirteen and fourteen year old when he was in the army in Germany. As Pricilla said in her memoirs, "they didn't have intercourse, but she was fully satisfied."

  6. The shocking thing here isn't the daycare provider, so much as it is that parents are supporting her and will send their kids back!!!! Is this laziness of not finding a new place? Is she cheaper than the rest? I would NEVER send my son back to a place like that if I heard about this situation, he would be withdrawn immediately!! I can't believe any parent or day care provider would do this, it makes me sick.

But I think its a bit immature to blame the entire state of Tennessee.

  7. If you watched the coverage by clicking on the link, I think you can at least understand the parent's one ONE level. Wait for it- let me explain. The house from the outside looks immaculate, neat and well kept. Outside there is the great play area. The childcare provider was always kind and loving in presence of the parents.

It's called a facade. In the parent's mind, they must have had some comfort envisioning their child at such a well set up daycare. Are they defending this daycare provider the same reason that my friends tolerate their lazy and ungrateful nannies? Possibly.

  12. parents with children in daycare or home with nannies. resolve that before memorial day, you are someone designated by yourself will do a surprise visit to see how your children are being cared for.

  13. I really do blame Fred Thompson - he's a piece of crap, and not caring for children is one of the so-called "principles" he spouts constantly.

  15. one of my kids had a teacher who put children in the classroom closet for punishment. I told my daughter, who was about eight at the time-this was third grade- she was never to go into the closet and if he ever attempted to send her into the closet she was to march on down to the office and have them call me. I knew her well enough to know it wouldn't be long and yes, I got the call. Bad result for the teacher. That ended that.
