This took place on Saturday may 26Th at 5pm on west 14Th Street and 6Th ave in NYC. I was standing in front of HSBC. From the way the woman was dressed all in white, it appeared she was a baby nurse to an infant around 3-4 months of age. If I offended anyone I am sorry, but the woman was black and the child white. The stroller was one that the hood was a different color news stand that is in front of HSBC and started looking at the magazines/newspapers etc. The whole time she was there for about 5 minutes her back was turned away from the stroller. The reason I am sending this is anyone could of walked off with the stroller and she wouldn't of known since her back was to the baby the entire time.
The only reason to ever hire a baby nurse: mother is incapacitated from illness or birth complications and dad is nonexistent.
ReplyDeleteMost (not all) baby nurses are scam artists at best who take advantage of the fact that their charges cannot talk.
SARAH JANE DONAHUE's baby nurse came highly recommended. Google her name. But I warn you, the story will traumatize you.
While I have known some great baby nurses, this is a sad and unbelievable story.

The baby nurse "lost it" with the child on her third night of work.
Why have a baby nurse? If a single mother who is recovering from an unplanned c-section can mind her own baby, why can't someone who is healthy and who has support in the form of a husband?
ReplyDeleteBaby nurses don't watch babies so mom can work. They watch them so mom can get her beauty sleep.
No thanks -- I'll take the bags under my eyes and a safe baby.
or perhaps keep the baby nurse in the home with the baby so she is nearby
ReplyDeletemost monster baby nurses hurt the children in their homes. not out in public!
ReplyDeleteit sounds like wherever they are the baby is in dire danger

ReplyDeleteThat website tells very little of the whole, horrible story.
That "baby nurse" should have her throat slit.
14th street and 6th avenue is a very very busy street. I have walked that street with older kids and held their hands like my sanity depended on it. This nanny ought to be very careful (maybe fired).
ReplyDeleteVery dangerous, specially in this day and age. Personally I would not hire a baby nurse unless I am struggling with a couple of toddles and my huisband is away travelling. If I had the money and felt I needed a baby nurse for whatever reason, I would hire a proper medical nurse, one that works or has worked in the pedriatric unit of a hospital, fully qualified and recommended by a consultant pediatrician.
ReplyDeleteThere are awesome baby nurses, too.
ReplyDeleteOlga from New York and Marva from LA.

Why do they call them baby nurses, by the way? Aren't they babysitters for the spoiled crowd?
ReplyDeleteno. a baby nurse- is supposed to have real medical training. many of them DO NOT. But I hired an actual LPN to help me with my twins when I brought them home from the hospital. She came five nights a week from 7-7. It worked out perfectly for us.
ReplyDeleteThanks for enlightening me. :0) An actual LPN would be lovely.
