Yes. I had noticed an increase of home invasions too. Good time to talk to your children about opening doors for people. In one case not so long ago, the guy was dressed as a fed ex guy, so when in doubt, don't answer the door!
ReplyDeleteoh and the baby borrowers thing? They should be charged criminally!
ReplyDeleteI just saw that story about the guy catching the baby falling from the fire escape on the 11 o clock news. It was two guys walking by.
ReplyDeleteRe: The Baby Borrowers series: why didn't the producers just film some of the many actual young couples who already have babies instead of putting kids from stable homes at risk? Ridiculous and criminal. That poor ten-year-old boy who wasn't fed for a whole day! Insane. Are they trying to do a "Scared Sterile" thing to curb teen pregnancy?
ReplyDeleteJMT,
ReplyDeleteI am shocked that such a bad idea got so far as it did!
nice selection. loved the 'brazen article" can't imagine the "m" anny showing up at the coffeeshop with the baby home!
ReplyDeletere: the BBC story. What 10 year old doesn't know how to ask for food? Strange...
ReplyDeletere: The BBC- in such situations, people are likely to go along with the constraints of the experiment. It has to do with an ingrained respect for authority figures. This happens in experiments where adults are involved too. They follow the lead of the person in charge.
