Durham, NC

Received Friday, December 15, 2006
On December 12, Nanny Ashley admitted to me that she was lying to the parents of her 21 mo. old charge. She showed him t.v. against their wishes, was not honest about the places she took their child, and gave him medication without telling the parents. She took the child to the Emergency Room for six hours one day without contacting the parents. Ashley was fired, but is still seeking a nanny position in the Durham, Raleigh, Chapel-Hill area. She also has a nursing degree.

  2. 5:49 poster, could you please explain why you leave your children with someone you consider a bad nanny?

  3. Ashley, do you want a job? You seem to show initiative that my lazy ass nanny has none of. No offense.

  4. I do not understand why people would hire (or at the least, keep on) a nanny they do not think is doing a good job. There are so many great nannies out there if you will look for them! I feel sorry for your children that you do not care enough about them to take the time to find good childcare. It only hurts them.

  5. you cant take a kid to the emergency room without contacting the parents. you can. but you might as well not since the doctors cant treat the child without authorization from the parent.

  6. Even if Nanny Ashley was lying/bragging/complaining about the ER thing, doesn't that make her too crazy/childish to be watching children? I didn't know for sure about the ER situation though, so I learned something new. Thanks.

  16. anyone can spread lies...

    durham isnt a state...

she doesnt claim she's an RN

I doubt she was 2 hours late.

and she did try to contact the family about going to the hospital, she herself was sick, not the child.

and i also doubt she gave the child medication without the parents consent...

and it takes a really shady person to talk bad about someone and not say who they are. who are you mysterious poster, and how do you know Ashley?

  17. Could this be Ashley herself, here to defend herself against these claims? I doubt anyone could know that it was she herself that was sick and not the child if it isn't her.

  18. I am Ashley, and subpoenaed the ISP for the IP of the blogger posting in violation of tort and libel laws. I sued for everything they are worth and no longer have to nanny or work at all due to the settlement. Thanks to I saw your nanny for the opportunity!
