I was at Weinerschnitzel on Convoy Street with my boyfriend and a nanny pulled up with two kids. They got one large drink to share. Then the nanny (different race then the children) went up to the older woman next to us and asked her for her receipt. She said she has "house money" and her boss counts it on Friday but she lost her receipt from when she took the children out yesterday. (??) The older woman barely spoke English but did give her the receipt. This older woman had 3 kids with her. So if your nanny is submitting to you a receipt for Weinerschnitzel on Convoy Street dated Sept 22, you probably need to take a look at all of her "receipts" and verify the legitimacy of them.
** I know this is not "abusive" but I do think it could represent a character issue.
A mother who doesn't trust her nanny with house money goes and hands her CHILDREN over to the nanny. That is absurd. Often times, I have been tsk tsked and accused of overpaying my nanny, but this is ridiculous! I don't have any of these issues with my nanny. She is worth every every penny I pay her and more. Most importantly, I treat her with respect. And not that I would ask for a receipt, but if she lost one-she would tell me on her own.
ReplyDeleteDude, Weinershchnitzel?
ReplyDeleteCharacter issues are sooooo important. If more people tuned in to these issues, the only nannies being left alone with children would be the many good ones!
ReplyDeleteShe's like every broker on my floor. Expense reports are padded daily.
ReplyDeleteSo nannies shouldn't ask for receipts?
ReplyDeleteARE YOU KIDDING ME? If SHE LEGITIMATELY LOST THE RECEIPT, SHE SHOULD SIMPLY SAY SO. THE FACT THAT SHE IS OUT SOLICITING BOGUS RECEIPTS MAKES ME WONDER WHAT ELSE SHE IS UP TO!!!
ReplyDeleteAgain, we don't know the whole context. Maybe the nanny inflates things or maybe the parents nickel & dime her over silly things. If it is nickel & diming over silly things and the parents see it, congratulations, you've just made the nanny's job that much harder.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you point out that the nanny was of a different race than the children? What difference does that make? Does that make her receipt-solciting better or worse?
ReplyDeleteReferencing race is part of a desrciption to identify people. Who do you assume that a person should be ashamed of their ethnicity? What are you trying to prove with your leftist, liberal bs?
ReplyDeletejesus. You race baiting elitist holier than thou shitheads need to get a fucking life.
ReplyDeleteHow would you feel if I went to your boss and said:
:um your employee added and extra paper clip to his report, and din't tell you." It's a characer issue you should fire her.
dumbasses.
I feel bad for a nanny who has to account for every drink and snack that she buys out of her "house money" and would be begrudged the few dollars that might've been represented by a single fast food receipt, and feels that the lines of communication are so befouled with her employing parents that they would indeed raise a fuss over a single missing receipt.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she will lose her job if she does not account for the money. Mind your own business next time.
ReplyDeleteIf she has to sneak around town and beg for phonu receipts, damn straight she should lose her job!
ReplyDeleteWTF?
Hey loser,
ReplyDeleteI will NEVER mind my own business and guess what- I have my eye out for you. You look like you have something to hide. Better tow the line.
People like you, who will"never mind their own business" cause everyone else problems!!!!!!! And..ooooh... we are all shaking that you have your eye on us!!!Get a life and stop worrying about everyone else's! An education might help too!Pathetic busy-body!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAn Education might help? Why don't you check out the book, "it takes a Village". Pathetic busybody? We all need to get involved with the children in our lives, in our families and in our neighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteYou sound ignorant Ms. 1243!
Ah..yes..a Hilary fan..that explains it. No where in that book does it state"it takes a village to sit around at the local Weinerschnitzel and poke your nose into everybody else's business"!Maybe if you start paying attention to your own life that boyfriend and fast food would turn into a husband and nice sitdown meal! This is a site for reporting abuse to children. You don't know anything about that nannies situation!Stop worrying about everybody else and go back to your mundane little life.Better yet you keep yourself busy with little details..leave the important things to the rest of us who really want to help kids . How sad..oh..by the way very clever..ms1246 I am impressed with that education..it's getting you noticed!!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the person who keeps saying to mind your own business. We hired a nanny four years ago to care for our 2 year old twins. When we hired her, we did a background check, a credit check, spoke to her references and got her school transcripts. We had three interviews with her and a two week trial during which time we assessed such things as character. Honesty is essential. A nanny who can't tell her employer she lost a receipt (if it existed) or is falsifying expenses cannot be trusted with money and most definitely cannot be trusted with children. This all goes to the issue of character! We still have our nanny. She lives with us as a member of the family. Quite frankly she can have anything she wants. Because she is so great to our girls and because we trust her!
ReplyDeleteWhen did this turn into a site about how fabulous your nanny is! The problem is this site is for reporting abusive nannies! The original post had NOTHING to do with an abusive nanny!!!!!!!!Give your nanny everything she wants..thats fabulous but use the site for what it is dedicated to!!!!!
ReplyDeletewhen did the sight become a nanny bashing. Are either one of you a parent or a nanny. Maybe you BOTH should mindd your own business and stopp clogging up the site!
